SOURCE: bOSCH WASHING MACHINE RETAINING SPRING FOR FRONT DOOR GASKET

This is a two person job. The spring part of the metal ring goes at the 6:00 position (note the groove on the metal part of the machine). Fit the ring into the gasket as much as you can on the hinge side. While one person uses pliers to stretch the spring, another person uses a flat head screwdriver to move the ring into the gasket groove. The trick is to stretch the spring as straight and close to the machine as you can or else the ring pops off and the gasket has to be reset.

SOURCE: Bosch Nexxt 500 Plus Elect Dryer Error E01

Absolutely those dryer sheets are the root of all evil....I would also recommend a good vent brush to clean your dryer vent.
Follow these steps, it worked for me:
1. use a shop vacuum to clean out the dry vent or a vent brush.
2. Clean your lint filter with windex, hot water and and soft bristle brush.
If this doesnt work try running the until disconnected from the vent for a cycle to isolate the vent as your issue.

Cheers!

SOURCE: how to remove lower front panel on kenmore 90

On my 7 year old Series 90 Dryer, I
- unplug the dryer
- use a flash light to locate the two black metal spring clips (located about 3 inches from each end of the lower panel along its top edge). They can be seen in the crack between the upper and lower panels.
- use a putty knife, or similar tool, to press down each clip while pulling out that edge of the panel.
- The panel slips off the lower clips easily.
- on some models there is a lone yellow wire with a connector on the end. If it is unconnected to anything, don't go nuts thinking that you have disconnected a wire by accident. Its one of those unused wires on some models.
- collect as many coins as possible before you vacuum the inside of the machine. Leaning the machine forward can often slide hidden coins to the front. BE SURE YOU CAN LEAN THE MACHINE WITHOUT HAVING IT FALL ON YOU. Otherwise, plan on collecting the coins from the vacuum cleaner when you finish.
- replace the panel by first threading the panel on to the lower clips, then closing the panel. CLICK, CLICK. FINISHED.

Congrats you have cleaned it, possibly avoided a house fire and added to the mad money collection. Hope this helped.

SOURCE: front load washer Bosch Vision 300/500/DLX will not drain getting a code of E27 can you help. Can't find the code # in the booklet that came with it.

A code E27 means a problem with the door lock. Try unpluging the machine for an hour and see if it resets the lock.

If not remove the cover on the lower right corner you will see a white plastic pull cord. Pull the cord and pull open the door. If that doesn't reset the door lock you will need to replace the lock.

Miele Touchtronic T1403: how best to thoroughly clean front vent/filter crevice?

Sounds like you did a pretty good job. In my experience the blockages are in the rear machine vent, the tube, and just behind the external wall vent. You can even find the odd bird nest in there. Also make sure the flaps on the outside open fully and with ease..

How do ou get to the heating element in a Bosch WTVC533SCN/09

These heaters, and safety thermostats are accessed from the rear of the unit by unplugging the dryer from the wall, and removing all the screws that hold the rear silver panel on after removing the main top. The heater is located in the lower right corner. While the heaters are less likely to fail, you do have a red button reset thermostat that often is the reason for no heat. These resettable thermostats trip for a reason, and become easily strained when tripped even on the first time, a real cause of failure should be discovered regardless what part has gone bad. Home vent systems should be checked by a reputable vent company. Remove the lint filter, and using a flashlight, you should be able to see a tiny probe in the lower left bottom area of the lint filter housing, if it's covered with lint, or even partially covered, this housing needs to be completely cleaned. Additionally the Bosch lint filters themselves are very fine filters, and are subject to congestion by both lint, and residue from dryer sheets. It's advisable these filters should be cleaned with warm water, and a de-greaser like pine-sol or similar to ensure they are breathing properly. Pleazer Appliance...

My dryer is about 3 years old suddenly won't dry a load in one cycle. Recently moved and moved the dryer with. Haven't had any problems.

I have included a link to the pictures of the routing of the belt.
http://www.applianceaid.com/images/belt-config.JPG

If you hear a loud bang while your dryer is working, and you notice that the
drum has stopped turning, chances are the drivebelt has snapped.
Fortunately, replacing the belt is a fairly straightforward operation that
can be handled with a few simple tools.
First, unplug the dryer. Lift the lint-screen cover and pull out the lint screen
If your dryer has a lint screen on the inside of the door, skip this step.
Then remove the two screws that are under the cover. To unlatch the dryer top,
insert a thin-blade putty knife between the top and front panel,
about 2 1/2 in. in from one corner. Push in on the knife to release the locking
clip, lift the corner, then release the clip on the other side. Swing the top
up and lean it against the wall.
Next, move to the lower toe panel. Slip the putty knife between the lower panel
and the door panel at one side and twist the knife to release the clip
Then release the opposite clip and lift the panel up and off the hinge springs.
To support the dryer drum while the belt is being replaced, place scrap wood
under the front of the drum.
Loosen the two screws at each side of the bottom of the front panel.
Move to the top of the panel and remove the screws from the inside of the
cabinet that hold the front panel to the sides.
Slide the old belt off the drum.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Installing the belt
Lean the front panel out slightly and allow the drum to rest on the scrap wood
support. Drop the new dryer belt between the front panel and the drum, and
loop it over the drum. Then, lift the drum slightly while pushing the front
panel back into position.
Replace the screws at the top inside of the front panel, tighten the lower panel
screws and remove the scrap wood from under the drum. Check to make sure that
the rear drum seal fits properly over the lip on the rear bulkhead.
Position the new belt where the old belt was, with the grooved side of the belt
facing down.
Now, move to the motor area and pull out the old belt. To route the new belt
around the idler and drive pulley, first pass the entire belt, doubled up,
under the idler pulley. Then, push the idler belt toward the motor, slip the
belt around the motor pulley and release the tension on the idler pulley.

Open the dryer door and rotate the drum counterclockwise a few times to make
sure the belt is tracking properly. Lower the top and press down at each
corner to engage the clips. Lift the lint-screen cover, replace the two screws
and reinstall the lint screen. Finally, secure the lower front panel and turn
on the dryer for a test.

Our Kenmore 400 series dryer is not heating. It's still going through all the cycles, but air is not getting warm. Could this be the thermostat?

Limit switch opening - most likely due to an airflow problem. Lint buildup may not be visible to you without some disassembly of the dryer. The top should fold back by removing two screws that hold the front down. The front panel should come off by removing two screws inside and possibly a few pressure clips. Check for lint buildup on the blower intake and beneath the lint filter.

SMELLS LIKE ITW BURNING

I highly recommend opening the dryer by removing the front panel.
Unplug the machine, remove the front cover and be prepared to vacuum out the lint build-up inside the housing of the dryer.
Also clean the exhaust duct of lint buildup too.

Remove front panel - no heat and buzzing sound

Hi, If the lint screen is at the top of the dryer, remove the screws located at the lint screen. Then pry the top by inserting something flat into the gap between the top and the front panel. Now locate the screw inthe upper inside corners and remove them. Now the front will lift up and release from the cabinet.
If the lint screen is inside the door, the lower half front panel will release and let you see under the drum.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

The dryer does not stay hot

You probably have a restriction in the exhaust somewhere. Check vent to outside , if that is okay remove hose from back of the machine and look for lint buildup in hose and machine. More than likely the problem is in the duct in the front panel where the lint screen goes. To check and clean this you will have to remove the front panel.

How do I remove the lint trap holder to clean out the lint inside

The font panel must be removed. This may be done by removing the control console (open upper cabinet doors to find screws behind the console). The screws along the top of the lower front panel are easily accessible. Disconnect the two interlock switches, remove the grounding clip attached to the bulkhead & lift the panel off the two lower clips. Inside the panel is a housing that leads to the exhaust blower. It will be packed with lint that may be hardened like papier mache. Just clean out the mess & reverse the process to replace the parts.
