I have a Canon Power Shot A720. Outdoor photos are beautiful. Indoor photos are always grainy/blurry...a lot of noise. I have tried the ISP feature but there are only two choices... 1. Auto or 2....

Hi Usually outdoor picture are good within small compact camera. They designed like that. But now your unit just have flash pcb defective. When flash function work, your picture will be good indoor. Regarding your flash unit would be brown fuse or replacement of flash unit. It is 50 and 50 chance. Your local repair shop would charge around $35 to 95 depend on what they really want to charge. Thanks and best regard!

When i take pictures with my canon powershot camera it is blurry and it is blurry normally too

NORMALLY YOU HAVE TO PRESS THE SHUTTER BUTTON DOWN HALFWAY, & WAIT FOR A GREEN LIGHT TO LIGHT, THEN PRESS THE SHUTTER BUTTON ALL THE WAY DOWN. THIS STEP SETS THE AUTO FOCUS ON THE CAMERA.

Took pictures of sons prom and pictures are blurry blown up, why??? I believe I shot them in sports mode....

Sports mode is meant for constant or fast movement. Its used mainly for sporting events.

The mode you should keep it in is Auto. In this mode you will see that there will be no blurry pics.

Blurry pictures

wipe off the lense with a clothe or something, that might be the problem. Or if you move the cam too much when you are trying to take a pic, that also mighht be the problem. If not, I have no idea.

Blurry photos if the subject is moving. I'm sure it's just a setting because it was never like this before....any movement at all and i get blurry pics.

You may have the camera set for manual settings and it stopped downtoo much this makes for long exposiure times and blurryy action shots. Your camera has an action or sports setting this will stop most blurs and turn the anti bump on its likly off

Re: Canon powershot A710is When taking a photo with flash it seems to stabilise well, but withou tthe flash - my pictures are ending up very blurry. I am not sure if I have messed up the setting some how,...

I use a Canon 640 and had the same issue several months ago......except the 640 does not have stabilization. In trying to remember the cause I finally discovered I can not absolutely pin it down.......but I am pretty sure that I initially resolved a flash/no flash picture issue by simply resetting the programmable feature......in doing this I discovered that I may have not been using the "auto" setting. As long as I use auto and turn off the flash manually I get great quality. I think your blurry issue is the result of setting/s other than stabilization, which you get auomatically in the "auto" setting. I have found that with the exception of shots which require a tripod, for various reasons, that it is easier and faster just to go to "auto" and the manually set the few things you may want to change....usually the flash and macro.

An aside..... have several cameras but my 640 produces, by far, the best quality (color and focus) of any......even out the window at 70 mph.

If none of the above work I think one quick exercise would be next.....using either a tripod or just a flat surface, take pics just as you have described except use a two second delay in order to make sure that you are not influencing the results

Canon powershot s2 1s digital camera blurry pics

The lens assembly needs a repair service.

Either it as internal damaged parts, or a moving part got stuck.

This mean a professional repair service for it.

The cost of it may be $120.00 or more in most camera repair centers.
