SOURCE: can i turn off the qnotes feature

Hi,
Your messages are set to 'word' and you want it set to 'alpha'. If you have your user guide this info is on page 45. Here's how to do that. If this helps plz rate this as 'fixya'. If you need more help leave a comment & I'll be happy to help. Thank you kindly.

You can enter text into your phone using the traditional method of pressing a key several times for each character, or by pressing a key once for each letter while words likely to be the one you want are chosen from a database. You can also enter symbols and numbers into a text field. In screens that require you to enter text, you see the following icons. These icons tell you which text input mode you are using: When you access a screen that requires you to enter text, you start in the mode last used.
To choose a text input mode: 1 At a screen that requires you to enter text, press m. 2 Select the text input mode you want to use. A checkmark appears next to the current mode.

SOURCE: Revving noise-wont record

Turns out the rubber disc grip on the spindle simply needs to be cleaned (using an alcohol wipe). This is the part that holds the disc firm while it's spinning...the noise and failed disc reads comes from this rubber getting dirty and allowing the disc to slip. Total time to fix including disassembly was less than 15 minutes!

SOURCE: Blackberry cell phone got wet; won't work

I cannot remember where i found this but if you look around the internet you may be able to soak it in distilled water and dry it out completely. Apparently the reason for short circuiting the device is due to the mineral itself not the water. I would suggest looking in to that. Hope this helps

DELL INSPIRON M5030 MAKING NOISE DO NOT POWER ON WHAT SHOULD I DO

The fan on the processor is bad/dirty/sticking and heat is causing it not to start for protection of the system. Fix, replace, or clean the airways and fan and that may allow it to start. Ventilation is ultimately important to stay in good working order. Also, if there is a disk in the cd/dvd unit, it would try to boot from that first before using the hard drive. The noise could be that disk being spun and trying to read, which if finding no startup files would stop it from starting as well. Removal of that disk may allow it to start.

Dell Studio 1737's power pack makes a shrieking, humming noise

I would stop using the adapter immediately. It could be about to blow. When one of these blows, you can get smoke, sparks and fire. You don't want that to happen when you are not around. Further you don't want to have a voltage spike from the adapter to *********** board. You can buy a new adapter at Walmart or whereever. Just be sure that it supports Dell computers. Dell uses a third pin frequently. Check the voltage and amperage of your current adapter. You should see something like 19V and 3 Amps. Make sure that your replacement adapter works within those rages.

You can also buy an exact match from Dell or ebay.

Expect a good Universal adapter that you buy at Walmart to be in the range of 50-100.

The good thing about a universal adapter is that you can use it on another notebook later.

Hi i have laptop dell"inspiron 2200 when i swithed it on the laptop so it will get open and get stop than start making noise like tooooooooooooooo

Back up your data on an external drive now! It could be the optical drive or the fan but it is most likely the hard drive. If it is the hard drive making that noise, it is about to die. Saving a hard drive is unlikely. You can replace it but you cannot replace your data. Save your data now!
