I am getting an Communication error 103 on my Honeywell alarm system. Cannot get it to go away. Suggestions?

This could be a lot of things and it is dependant on what keypad you have. It could be a cell tower signal loss or interference, it could be a router or modem issue on you devices, it could be one of 11 other things. IF you have the vista keypad, look for a four digit error code extension.

New apartment with A honeywell ademco 4110xm. I connected power and got master code. I get CHECK 05 and ALARM 06. Typing the code and OFF disables the ALARM 06 error, but Check 05 remains. Any help?

It is telling you that a zone is not working properly or is open. Ex. door not shut, window not shut. Something moving in front of a motion sensor. Fin out what zone 5 is and that is your problem for arming. Could be a battery if this is a wireless system.

FC means failure to communicate, call your monitoring company to test your systems communication. If your system uses or used your phone line call on a cell phone so you don't get cut off when you system tries to call to monitoring company. gl

Sounds like your alarm panel is not hooked to a active phone line. FutureSmart Networks are made by Honeywell. Go to the website below and contact their support desk. They should be able to get you a operation manuals for their products:

Try these troubleshooting steps:


Turn Files Sharing Off for your System Drive
Recover Registry Damage
Turn Windows Firewall Off
Reset Modem/ Router and try HTTPS instead of HTTP in URLs
Fix registry errors


If problem is not resolved yet then download error 103 repair tool like Reginout

My alarm system insist that the exit door is open. I checked the roller contact and if i depress it and let it go the chime rings - so how can i test the switch - there is two doors one going out side...

Pull the plug from the switch and jumper the wires. If the error goes away, the switch is toasty and need replacing. If the error doesn't go away, you've got a broken wire, or a faulty base unit.

Display showing open circuit, how do i fix this?

One of the wires that connect to the same location as the Ademco 6150 Alarm Keypad + 5881enm Wireless are damaged. locate the bad wire and repair. Error will go away. GL.

It says 103 on my alarm system

Check 103 on Ademco alarm system would usually tell me that you had your back up radio upgraded, but installer did not remove old back-up radio properly. If this is the case service call sould be or would be free.
