Hello friends, I have a trimmer machine Philips Series 5000 and I got burgled andmy charger was stolen by the thieves leaving the machine :) So I took a new charger, because it's a very good machine. Anyway, I have a problem with my new charger. Normally the machine needs to be charged for an hour, but this charger cuts off after 3-5 minutes and doesnt charge more. What would be the reason ? I have no way to return or guarantee the charger. While I was looking for a new charger, I read this on machine, USE ONLY WITH PHILIPS HQ8505, then I bought it. So I got the right one. But it still doesn't charge properly. I would be very happy if there was a friend who could help. Thank you now.
It sounds like the charger is defective or the wrong one. There are two chargers that will physically fit your shaver but only one will work. The correct one can be found at shaveroutlet.com

The charger port is going bad. It happens over time The symptom of this is you have to hold it into place.
The first step is to contact your carrier to see if it is covered under warranty. If it is, great get it replaced.
If not, you have 3 options:
1. you can get the charging port repaired. The cost is about 50 dollars. I recommend Cellulardr.com
2. you can get a new phone. cost ???
3.Youcan get an external battery charger to charger the battery separate fromphone. An extra battery is a good idea as well so you canhave one charging at all times. The best and cheapest place to buy a new charger for yourshine is ebay. They run about 5 dollars shipped. Check out thefollowing link for the selection.
