Answered

Have a customer with a New just delivered Maytag MHW5630HW Washer. It is displaying LOC on the control display. Does anyone have an easy solution to this one?

I have tried the Control lock reset several times. I have tried a hard reboot of the system. Unplugged the machine for 10 min plugged back in waited 90 seconds and powered back on still gives LOC Does anyone now an easy fix for this?

The control panel is locked. This is a safety feature on some models to keep children from pressing buttons and starting the machine. The USE and CARE manual will tell you how to disable the control lock. If the control doesn't unlock the have the customer take the machine back and get a Speed Queen. The ECU is faulty on the Maytag. I'm seeing lots of appliances from Whirlpool that don't work new out of the box at present.

I believe the DRAIN/SPIN button on the Kenmore Elite HE3 will clear a locked control panel if you hold the button in for 3 seconds. This is actually a safety feature to keep small children from playing with the buttons and allows the consumer to lock the control panel. I hope that's all the problem you have and that it is not a control panel failure. Let me know if this helps. PS The matching Kenmore Elite Dryer uses the AUTO DRY LEVEL button for the same feature.

If it was a toshiba supplied disk, then I should follow up with them with the failure, as it was their fix, that caused this problem, they should replace/repair this unit for you

The magnetic switch was stuck due to power outage / contactor are spark connect the contactor stuck together .Magnetic switch to replace.

Suspect the toner heating element (fuser) may be malfunctioning. Dell may be able to walk you through a "hard reset" that involves opening the front door, turning on an off the printer with certain buttons held down, etc.

Cracked solder joints due to excessive heat cycling. Do not place in a shelf system. Top MUST be open for 1 ft. or better for proper convective cooling effect. Mine suffered same fate but repaired locally.

Possible Solutions

There is no Error - Control Lock is activated

If the control lock has been activated, the control will not function. If you try to push buttons, you may see the code "LoC" or "LC" (depending on your model). This is a reminder that you have set the control lock, and need to de-activate it to allow the washer controls to function.
Activating the Control Lock: Touch and hold for 3 seconds to lock the controls to avoid unwanted changes or operation. For each second CONTROL LOCK is held down, the display will count down one second: you will see "3," then "2," then "1" then "LC" or "LoC". You may still touch START to pause the cycle, or touch POWER to turn off the washer.
De-Activating the Control Lock: Touch and hold 3 seconds again to de-activate the Control Lock.
See your Owner's Manual for more information on setting the Control Lock.

Error message LOC
Do the following:
The Control Lock (child lock) is on: To prevent accidental operation of the washer or alteration of the cycle settings, press and hold the lock symbol until you hear 3 beeps and LOC is displayed. To cancel, press and hold the lock symbol until LOC is no longer displayed. To put the control into control lock you do the same thing.

Loc coming up on frigidaire washer front load
The controls have been locked unintentionally and this is a safety feature to avoid having someone accidentally stop the washer or modify the cycle. It can be unlocked by pressing and holding the OPTIONS and SELECT buttons for 10 seconds or until the "LOC" is no longer displayed. Lock the controls with the same buttons and in the same way until "LOC" is displayed alternately with the estimated cycle time.

My dog locked the control panel on my epic maytag washer
Various control lock features on differing models:

Press the end of cycle signal button for 3 seconds

OR

To reset press the DRAIN/SPIN button and hold it for 15 seconds.

OR

Press and hold the END OF CYCLE button for 15 seconds to reset the control.

OR

Unplug washer
Remove lower kick panel
Reach up and locate bottom of door lock switch
Grab the teardrop shaped tab
Pull gently till yall hear a click
The door will be opened

OR press options and select for 10 secs till LOC is no longer displayed

Push any button and 'loc' flashes seems to be locked out
Press Options and Select at the same time and hold for 10 seconds or until "LOC" is no longer displayed to unlock the controls. Press and hold the same buttons for 10 seconds until "LOC" is displayed alternately with the estimated cycle time to lock the controls. Unplug the machine for at least half an hour, if pressing the buttons does unlock the controls, to forcibly reset the machine control and eliminate the possibility of an electronic glitch.
