There are many possibilities. contaminated fuel, wrong fuel oil mixture. air leak in fuel line, carburetor contaminated, or needs adjustment, choke problems, throttle problems. Try a small engine mechanic.

Does it start and run ok for awhile and then gradually looses power?

As a test, loosen fuel cap and see if problem goes away. If you find it makes it better, then fuel tank vent is blocked.

No it continuously runs slower the entire time!

Ahhh... So it does not accelerate when throttle trigger is pulled? If yes, then throttle linkage does not functioning. Could be it has disconnected at the carburetor or more likely something not right inside throttle housing.

If not connected at carburetor, the trigger would not return to idle position. Does throttle trigger move back to idle position when released?

SOURCE: homelite gas leaf blower losing power

There might be a small screen in the exhaust (it's a spark arrestor) that gets plugged with carbon. Will cause loss of power and eventually the machine will not run. You can just take the screen out and it will run better. Check the exhaust ports (look into the cylinder area after you take off the muffler) and see if it/they are plugged. If so, use only plastic or wooden items to clear the carbon out. Be careful not to get any in the cylinder. If you do, pull the starter rope several times to blow out the carbon.

Otherwise, some fuel line cleaner would be a good try to assist in the problem.

SOURCE: My Hitachi leaf blower was smoking after short term use

The engine gets hot, and the smell is likely not anything to worry about.

Check your air filter is not clogged. Clean or replace as necessary.
It is a grey sponge ring that is located behind the cover plate near the priming bulb.

After heavy use, to restart you must prime the bulb as usual, NOT use the choke (only for cold).

Oil ratio

I use one of those small 2.6 oz oil containers in a gallon (128 oz) to give a 50:1 mix. If you want more oil in your mix add another container - but it will be more expensive and waste oil.

Hitachi RB24EAP engine start but no blow

Check the impeller (on the side opposite the pull starter) to see if it is locked to the drive shaft (in the center of the impeller). The shaft could be spinning but, if the impeller is loose on the shaft, it can't spin fast enough to force as much air through the nozzle as it should.

Whats the best premix gas to use on a Husquarna 125B hand held Blower

The best mix to use is what's recommended in the manual but in most cases blowers use a 50:1 mix. The difference from 40:1 to 50:1 is negligible but you have to use what the motor is built for. Too much oil causes a loss of power because the gas won't burn efficiently. Too little oil and you risk damaging your piston or cylinder.
