It sounds like the themostat inside the unit is broken. The only solution to fix the unit is to send it to the manufacturer for repair.
I'm unsure of the cost for the repair but it might be cheaper if the unit is older to throw it away and buy a new steamer.

You need to replace your silencing filter on the inside. I recommend calling Health Mor at 800-344-1840 and having their Tech. walk you through replacing that filter. It should have been replaced at about 2 years. It catches the carbon off the motor, but if dust is getting through it can clog it and cause your motor to overheat.

With the machine switched off, press the re-set switch on the side of the head, making sure you push the button in as far as you can. When you switch the machine back on and lower it into the vacuuming position, the brush bar should start turning. --------The brushes don't spin if the unit is placed upright. First off check that you haven't pressed the button that turns the brush on and off.-- But if that is turned ON.Then the other possibility can be clogged brush with dirt. take a look at the brush bar to see how much hair and debris is caught in there. If there is very little then you probably don't have much to worry about and you can press the brush reset bar on the side of the vacuums head and your problem with they Dyson brush not turning can be fixed.
