My HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401n is showing a 59.A0 error and making weird sounds. How can I fix this?

It seems you have done all the troubleshooting yourself. You can't do a full factory reset, because you can't see the screen. You either have an internal power supply unit failure or a control board failure. Neither are really home repairs. A new one is $147, or you can take it to an HP Service Centre. I am sure not to answer you wanted but it has failed.

Here is the Service Manual. It looks like the power supply PCB is behind the button. The main PCB is on the right side above the cassette.

• 59.X Error
• Description:The product has experienced a problem with one of the motors.
• Remedy:Turn the product power off, wait at least 30 seconds, and then turn the product power on and wait for it to initialize. If you are using a surge protector, remove it. Plug the product directly into the wall socket. Turn the product power on.

This is usually a motor code, turn off, unplug wait 2 to 3 minutes plug in and try, may work good luck

I would suggest the drum unit or the toner cartridge was not reassembled correctly. Do it again.

If you have connected the printer via a USB cable, make sure to uninstall the printer from the Printers control panel (in Windows - the location name varies with the version of Windows) and disconnect the USB cable before reinstalling the printer software.

How to resolve this error???????

Usually, it is set with English language
if you have changed it
please follow this
press the button showing a spanner ( setting)
Then select the restore defaults.
The system will restart and return to the default language as
English
