Do you have enough disk space? Check if your C; drive has enough space. Normally C: is used as 'scratch area'. Try scanning intoa different location.

SOURCE: CANON DR 7580 SCANNER : SCANNED IMAGE HAS A LIGHT

Assuming the document going through the scanner looks normal, there are a few things to check. If you open Capture Perfect, you can adjust the contrast and brightness as well as the thresholds. Sometimes different toners react differently to the scanner...paper is a big thing too. Multi-part forms can be tricky to get the settings adjusted so you pick up enough of the text but not that on the other side. If it's still messing up, you can try and get it serviced. Ikon is nationwide and can help out.

SOURCE: I have a canon DR-9080c that gives me a PAFCV2.DLL load error

I have resolved this in the past and a new user just brought it up again.

The pafcv2.dll in Captureperfect 2 does not seem to work. If you install CapturePerfect 3 and copy the pafcv2.dll into captureperfect (c:\program files\canon electronics\captureperfect2 or whatever install path you used), you will find that you can now scan into PDF, even in batches!

1) How to Detect Automatic PageSize (eg. Remove Black Color of Scanned Image at the end of the Page.) 2) Compression Using JPEG Compression. 3) Set Name Rule and File Format How to set all...

I presume that you are using CapturePerfect ver 3 as scanning software. Please select "Auto-detection" under page size and also 'deskew' using both Roller & Image' under filters. Under file format, you need to select JPEG. Naming convention is available, however I'd suggest that you choose the name which is convenient to you. Multipage is NOT available with JPG format.

My scanning files are to big

Since there's not much information, I'm going to have to make a lot of assumptions with this solution.

The basic issue you have is not the scanning, it's the scaling after the scanning. Since you do not indicate what software you are using to scan the image, I can't be certain without knowing what you're using, but most of these scanning packages allow you to 'resize' or 'scale' the image. How much to scale depends on how large the original is, and how small you need the final version, so some experimentation may be in order. As an example, with my scanner, I typically resize to about 50% of the original.

If you don't have that option, most graphics programs allow this fairly easily (you simply save, then open the scanned image in the image editor and perform the scaling there). Or, some programs even let you resize without opening the file, such as Microsoft's free Image Resizer tool (http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/ImageResizerPowertoySetup.exe) which allows resizing by right clicking on the file name.

How do i save the image once i have scanned it on CanoScan LiDe25

it may be that you have to close the program - i had a similar problem at first but found it stores them all until the program is closed, then a window pops up with little thumbnails of all my scans (meaning you can continue to scan new images without apparently having saved them to the harddrive). This new window allows the user to untic whichever scans are not desired... there is a svae button at the bottom, and the svaed scans will be found in the Pictures folder in a sub-a folder with that days date as the name.

Failed to open a driver

OK. Here is what you do. (I just did this on an Intel Mac running OX10.5.6)
First go to the cannon site and get the program (File name: deldrvosx1510en.dmg) to uninstall the drivers for your scanner. Also, delete copies of the scan toolbox that you may have installed in your application folder.

Then go back to the canon site for the LiDE 25 and install the drivers (file name: lide25osx11030en.dmg.) This part is very important, in the middle of the install a dialog will popup asking if it is OK to run something like deldvr, DO NOT ALLOW IT TO RUN, HIT CANCEL.
reboot.
Install the canon toolbox software (it should be version 4.9.x not 5.0). File name is : cstbosx4934ej4.dmg
You should now be good to go.
What a %^#%$#-up process on Canons part.
