Re: I purchased a gas grill from Sams, model number...
I'm not sure what your question is, but if you live in a muggy climate or don't cover your grill with a waterproof cover in a rainy climate, your burners may go fast. Some manufacturers offer bronze upgrades that will last much longer than steel or iron.

Battery is not usually included. It is located behind the igniter button. It could have a piece of plastic that needs to be removed to make contact. Sometimes they add the battery and put a barrier in to keep it from draining before it is sold.
Burner orifices must be resized or adjusted to accommodate higher pressure LP. Air shutters should be opened all the way to allow maximum air to gas ration.
Yes the best option for just for you is to buy a new burner, tube kit and a new manifold kit because all the things that you said you removed from the burner must have caused alot of rust on the burner and if you keep welding the burner there will still be linkage after awhile so the best thing is just for u replace the burner.
Unfortunately this grill and parts are no longer being made. Uniflame has completely sold out of all spare parts. This grill was discontinued over 5 years ago.
sudsy, this exact same thing would happen to me every time I changed a tank. I know it's nothing to do with the grill itself. I would have to seat and reseat the regulator hose to the tank a couple of times before it would start heating normally. Your model has 3 burners and I suspect that the flame is real low on each one even on the high setting. Try connecting and disconnecting the tank a couple of times and see if it comes to life. If worse comes to worse you can order a new regulator hose. Part number P3632L. Catriver..post back.
