Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: We bought our TV in Australia but are now living in new Zealand our TV comes up with invalid format to have tried returning but we get sound no picture. Will this mean it won't go in new Zealand.

The TV may be too old even if it is a digital TV set. NZ terrestrial DTV broadcasts in MPEG-4 format, and a lot of Aussie digital TVs won't receive this. A Freeview digital set top box should solve this problem, and be cheap.
