This sounds like a programming error. Using the remote try to push and hold down the exit button. If this does not correct the problem, unplug the unit for 15-20 seconds. Plug unit back up and hit the start button. The unit will most likely reprogram you desired settings. I hope this helps with your problem.
SOURCE: sharp lc26sh20u 26"flat panel has vertical lines on left side,What coulb be problem?
This line would either indicate a horizontal problem cropping up or a power supply problem
I would suggest getting a service tech to look at it to determine where
your problem is coming from but most likely it will be the power
supply /deflection board that is the problem but I can't know for sure, it will have to be checked.
A lot of sets have had damages after a long hot summer a/c
flipping off and on and current demand being peeked from the
utilities storms or quick power loss off and on can cause problems
like this to occur
Please let me know if you have any other questions, thanks
SOURCE: Loss Sync
According to SharpUSA the problem with the "Loss of Sync" error message is that (most probably) the cables (between the box and the display) are not connected properly (so remove and reconnect them carefully, on both units) or a cable is defective.
Also, after you reconnect the cables try turning on the unit, if no success then depress the "clear" button on the external box (under the door on the front and on the bottom left and try turning on the TV again).
It is, most likely, that the cables are not seated properly. Reseat the cables on both the display and the external box.
Hopefully, this will clear the problem
if still does not solves your problem just replace all the cables connected between .u can get the new cables at radioshack web site.just place an order they will provide you.
thanks.

Press the cc button on your remote control. You want cc to be off. Play around with the cc button to become comfortable. Press it over and over again. Observed that a different closed captioning option appears on your screen each time you press the cc button. Now press cc and when it says cc off do not press the button anymore.
No. They are different boards. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.
