We have a Samsung model RF263BEAESR. Our ice maker only works when you use the reset button to get the ice to drop. I've had the icemaker replaced and am still not getting ice automatically. The technician keeps telling me we do not have enough water pressure to fill the ice maker reservoir. We've tested it and have 60 psi from the water line to the refrigerator. The repairman also told me that the way this ice maker works is the water is released via a set time to fill, not how much water is put into the ice maker reservoir (bad design). So, my question is, if your ice maker is working, how many seconds does the water run to fill the ice reservoir? Ours only runs approximately 3.1 seconds, which even at 60psi I don't think is long enough to fill. Any advise is welcome. Thanks.

SOURCE: Ice maker not working

It's possible that the tube that supplies water to the ice maker is blocked with ice (freezer temp. too cold) and not allowing water to get to the Ice tray.
You can squeeze the tube to see if it's iced, and if so you can melt the ice with a blow dryer and adjust your freezer temp. to the manufacturer's suggested setting and work from there.
I have seen this happen, but there are other problems such as just a broken ice maker too.
Good luck.

It is quite possible the water line near the ice-maker is frozen. I would try a warm hair drier to thaw it out.

SOURCE: Whirlpool Gold Refrigerator (GS5SHAXNLOO) Ice maker not running, some ice in maker melted together

I have the same model. This has happened to me several times (usually when the door was kept ajar without notice).
Simply open the door, take a common hairdryer and blow at high speed (hottest also) all around the area of where you can feel the ice in the tray, but hasn't dumped yet. It will usually take about 5-8 minutes of consistently moving back and forth around that area. What has happened is the lines bringing water to the trays have frozen over. When you "thaw" them out, the ice made will dump in about 45 minutes. When you hear the ice fall, you will know it's in working order again. I have NOT heard this is a "flawed" icemaker, only that it is hypersensitive to freezing lines when a door is left ajar. In your case, to prevent this from happening again. If you shut the icemaker off again, make SURE you turn off the source of the water feed BEFORE you turn off the ice maker. By doing this, the lines will empty as it makes it's last tray of water. Try that - very confident it will fix your problem!

My Samsung Refrigerator, RF263BEAESR/AA ice maker has white ice surrounding the ice maker and won't dispense the ice. The long narrow tray in the refrigerator is locked and I can't pull it forward.

Before finally curing all the problems I've had with MY Samsung Ice Master ice maker I experienced the same problem you have just described. For a number of different reasons water has leaked down to the bottom of the icemaker compartment and actually frozen the ice tray to the bottom of the housing. In my case, a number of sharp blows from the edge of my hand was able to break the seal that ice has made between the tray and the compartment. Sharp blows, not brute force. After removing the ice tray you need to wipe out the remaining ice with a wash cloth soaked in hot water. Until the available kit is installed this problem will re-occurr with great regularity..

Top ice maker in Samsung RFG298AAPN does not make ice. No water cycles into icemaker. Icemaker has been reset, nothing after 2 days. Should I replace the icemaker or the water valve.

On these models I've noticed that the temperature in the ice maker area warms up due to a ball of ice forming inside the freezer compartment ice maker fan that has vent going to the ice maker. Until it is found whether or not that ball of ice is blocking the vent and fan you won't be able to go to the next step. The switch on the ice maker will test the ice maker by filling it with water and rotating the Forks that dump the ice into the ice bin Appliance 911 Sea Breeze

Icemaker is not working properly. It will only make ice after the reset button is pushed.

If the ice room is not getting/staying cold enough, the unit will not harvest the ice and proceed through the cycle... First step in troubleshooting is to determine if the compartment the icemaker sits in is cold enough, if it is, then you have to test the ice room temp. sensor to see if it is not sending the correct temp signal to the main board. These icemakers are modular and pretty much have to be replaced completely if the temperatures and sensor check OK. Samsung Refrigerator Temperature Sensor DA32 10104N

RFG297AA ice maker not working

On my model RF265AABP, it is easy to get the ice maker out, once you discover how to remove the drawer from the slides (two plastic clips at the rear of the slides).
Pull the front cover off, take out the two screws, and unplug the wire connector and it drops right out. Yours may be different.

SAMSUNG MODEL RS2533SW/CUR ICEMAKER MAKING ICE BUT NOT DUMPING

This sometimes happens with my KitchenAid ice maker.
Usually there is a piece of ice stuck on the side where the sensor is that causes the ice to drop. I usually carefully chip away at any ice that is stuck. Once the stuck ice is removed, the ice maker works fine.

Icemaker tuns but ice does not drop out

OK the reason the Ice isn't dropping is that the element under the icecube tray isn't working. You'll need a new Ice tray with element I'd be guessing, but see how you can buy it. Some models you need a whole new ice maker. Cheers

Most of the samsung's have a reset button on the bottom front of the ice maker that just pushes in and it should start the cycle.
