well run your dvd player to tv ok sound and video then run cable to tv same way then use master rca left right outs from tv back to the sterio ch in video 1 ok then turn on sterio to video one ch and u got it

This means there is a problem with the system it is in the protect mode it will not come out of that mode untill repairs are made. More than likley the power amp is blown.

Your TV is NOT an audio source by itself. It's job is to make pretty visual stimulus for your eyes, not your ears. Everything IT hears comes from somewhere else like a DVD, BluRay, Cable Box, right?

Get the absolute best TV-related audio directly from the digital audio outputs of each source you're watching, not the TV.

And how would we we would know if you have it set up right? There's not a lot of information here to work with.

What's "ENOUGH" bass? Many things play into bass in the listening environment beside the basic electrical connections. Web search for "subwoofer placement" as a start. I imagine the manual that came with it may address that aspect.

I am simply trying to hook up the stock sub that came with this product vr 357. I don't see an input on the tuner do I need an amp of some sort or am I missing something

Speakers are OUTPUT devices. As far as the manual goes there is no STOCK subwoofer with this receiver. What's yours and does it have a manual which might answer your question?

Kenwood vr 357 surround system stand ny light keeps blinking when turned on but no sound no nothing when turned on just powers up for 7 seconds then shuts off with light blinking
