When I push the brew button on my Keurig MininPlus, only two ounces go into the machine from the reservoir. I have to lift and put down the handle repeatedly to get the water into the machine to heat and dispense the coffee. The machine is brand new.

SOURCE: keurig maker dispenses too little water when brewing

I found this solution on another post. Unfold a small metal paper clip and insert through the lower piercing needle of the cup holder to **** out any debris in the needle.Even a small piece of coffee or debris can slow the water flow through the cup.

SOURCE: does not brew coffee consistencty,

Sorry to read about your issue.

The brewer should be de-scaled at least every 3-6 months. Scale is harmless, but if left unattended, it can hinder optimal brewer performance. De-scaling your brewer regularly helps maintain the heating element, removable water reservoir and other parts of the brewer that come in contact with water. Better water quality and water heating means a better cup of coffee, tea, hot cocoa or iced beverage. We recommend de-scaling your brewer at least every 6 months (every 3 months if your water has a high mineral content). The de-scaling process involves using 48 ounces of undiluted white vinegar.

Take 48 oz of white vinegar. place in tank. pretend you are making coffee (Do No Use K Cup). let the water fill you mug. then empty that mug. Do it again until tank is empty. then let sit for 4 hours.
Then fill with fresh water to the top. let that tank of water run thru. towards the end taste the water.
If you taste vinegar..use more clean water, until the taste is ok.

I tried to help you. Please help me and Vote/Rate this response. Thanks and good luck

How do you purge a keurig coffee maker and establish the hot water reserve

With the water container in place, put a container under the nozzle and lift the handle as if you were putting in a K cup. Close it and push the brew button. You may have to repeat this a few times to get all the air out. Once you get a steady stream, you're done.

My Keurig says to prime

This video link below, from keurig, should get you back running.
remove reservoir, if you have a water filter, remove it and set aside. Use a damp non abrasive cloth and clean tank including filter screen. DO NOT DRY the inside with a cloth as lint may remain. DO NOT PUT in a dishwasher. Let it air dry. Reinsert the water filter. Put tank back into unit making sure it is aligned properly. Fill tank all the way up with clean water. Turn power on and attempt 3 WATER only brew cycles at the 6 or 8 ounce size. DO NOT USE A PORTION PACK.

If this doesn't work, you may have to clean the needles of the K-cup holder and / or the filter screen and water reservoir port.

If the problem persists you can contact you can contact Keurig at 1-866-901-BREW (2739) or Keurig.com

Keurig won't work if there is a K-cup in however water flows through perfectly without it?

TRY..Lifting up the water reservoir and drop it back into place. There is a magnet that has to be in the right position and putting the reservoir back into place causes it to go back where it should be.
It may be time to descale. Most models will give you a message when it's time to have the mineral deposits cleaned.
HERES HOW TO DO IT:

Pour approx 48 ouncs of white vinegar into the water resevoir. PLacew a large mug on the drip tray, DO NOT use a K-Cup, press the brew button. Pour contents into sink. REPEAT this process until the ADD WATER idicator light, lights up. Let brewer stand for at least 4 hours while it is on. Discard any residual vinegar in the resevoir and rinse thorughly.
FILL the resevoir with fresh water. Place a lage mug on the drip tray and hit brew, again NO K-CUP, pour contents of mug into sink.REPEAT until "ADD WATER" is indicated.
YOU MAY NEED TO REPEAT THE RINSE CYCLE IF YOU NOTICE ANY RESIDUAL VINEGAR TASTE

I lost my manual. How do I de-scale? Does this not allow you to brew a cup until it has been de-scaled?

From http://www.keurig.com/customer-service/brewer-registration-and-support/~/media/Files/Keurig%20Brewer%20Manuals/De-scaling_instructions.ashx
To begin, you will need the following:
  • 48 ounces of undiluted white vinegar
  • Large ceramic mug (do not use a paper cup)
  • Access to an empty sink

PREPARE Step 1: Empty the water in the Water Reservoir. Step 2: Disable "Auto Off" features.
FILL AND CLEAN Step 1: Pour approximately 48 ounces of the vinegar into the Water Reservoir. Step 2: Place a large mug on the Drip Tray Plate and run a brew cycle. DO NOT USE A K-CUP, just press the BREW Button. Pour the contents of the large mug into the sink. Step 3: Repeat the brew process without a K-Cup until "ADD WATER" is indicated. Step 4: Now let the Brewer stand for at least 4 hours while still on. Step 5: Discard any residual vinegar and rinse the Water Reservoir thoroughly.
RINSE Step 1: Ensure the Water Reservoir is filled with fresh water. Step 2: Place a large mug on the Drip Tray Plate and water brew cycle. Pour the contents of the large mug into the sink. Step 3: Repeat brew process until "ADD WATER" is indicated. Step 4: You may need to perform additional water brew cycles if you notice any residual taste. NOTE: If "DE-SCALE" is still displayed after completing the procedure, repeat the de-scaling procedure above.

My keurig says I need to descale. How?

Descaling depends the size of the reservoir. I see the B60 but not the B66 at the Keurig site. The two units are apparently the same from searching the support side of the Keurig site: http://www.keurig.com .

For the Mini coffee makers, you use 20 oz of vinegar (2 10 oz cycles). For the larger Keurig units, it takes 48 oz of vinegar.

In either case, fill the reservoir with vinegar and put a large ceramic (12 oz mug for the mini unit) mug on the drip tray. Do not add a K-cup. For the B60 (and probably the B66), press the Brew button. Discard the vinegar after the cycle. Repeat the brew process until Add Water is indicated. Discard the vinegar each time. Then wait 4 hours with the unit on. Discard the remaining vinegar and rinse the reservoir. Fill the reservoir with 48 oz of water and brew several cups without a K-cup until the "Add water" message appears. Discard the water in the mug each time. Repeat the vinegar cleaning if De-scale still appears in the LCD. Run more water without the K-cup if you notice a remaining taste in the coffee after the rinse procedure.

For the mini, fill the reservoir with 10 oz of water, lift the Brewer handle and lower it after 5 seconds with no K-cup in the unit. Press the Brew button. Discard the vinegar after the cycle. After the first cycle, pour the other 10 oz of vinegar into the Cold Water Reservoir. Lift the handle and lower it after 5 seconds. Press the Brew button and wait until the light becomes steady. When vinegar starts to be dispensed, power off the unit. Wait 30 minutes. Then power on the unit and lift and lower the handle again. Then discard the vinegar after the cycle. Next run 4 rinse brew cycles with 10 oz of water each time. Discard the water each time. The unit should be ready to brew with a K-cup after the 4 rinse cycles.

I hope this helps.
