The wiring diagram yard machine 660 thru 679. I took solenoid off without marking the wires now I don't know which wire's go to what on the solenoid

Here is a link to one of the Cub Cadet 1500 Series with a wiring diagram. Yours may be similar to this. If you are NOT Sure, take the mower to the shop for Repair/Service.

Go to www.car-parts.com and search for a wiring harness for your truck near your location, then mark all of the connections with tape and a marker before removing the old one. Getting a used one from a salvage yard will be much cheaper than getting a new one and much better than making your own. Let me know if you have any other questions and I would be happy to help.

Did you take pictures before you took it apart, or did you tag wires before unconnecting them.

hi, hard to say without knowing what machine you have but shouldnt be hard t work out where the wires go. Main red wires will go from battery to big connector on solenoid,other big red wire will go to other big connector on solenoid which will then connect to the starter motor. if the starter spins without turning the key then swap the big red wires over on the solenoid. then you will have 1 of possibly 2 smaller wires which wil go on the smaller connectors on the solenoid,one will come from the ignition switch probably via safety lock out swithches, othe probably to earth.

I don't have a diagram but its very simple,
The solenoid will have two large lugs and one or two small lugs.
One large lug from the solenoid connects to the starter motor only. When you purchase a replacement it will already be connected.
The other large lug will connect to the cars battery cable and two ten gauge wires (fuseable links) with large eyelets.
Only one small terminal is used. The one marked with an "S". Connect the remaining wire with the small eyelet to the "S" terminal of the solenoid.

it should vave main switch connection on it ( may need to enlarge )


basically switch markings

G= ground ( usually black )

L = lights/ carb solenoid if it has one

M = magnetron kill wire ( usually black )

S = starter solenoid ( white ,usually goes through a interloc but could be orange check your diagram )

B = battery this wire will come from the the battery itself directly or from the hot post of the starter solenoid )

suspect 5 terminal 3 position switch

connections for off G + M

connection for on/ run B + L

connection for start B+ L + S

Check the drain hose for kinks and blockage. If it drains into one the garbage disposal make sure there is nothing blocking the pipe from the dishwasher.

There is a solenoid that needs to move for the machine to drain. The solenoid is located at or very near the drain hose under the machine. It should have two wires going to it.

The solenoid won't work if...
There is something inside the pipe preventing the solenoid from moving OR
The wiring to the solenoid is broken/worn out, OR
The controller is not telling the solenoid to move OR
The solenoid is broken/worn out.

If you remove the drain hose from the machine you should be able to check if anything is blocking the valve.

If it drains between the wash and rinse cycles the solenoid and wiring are good, but the controller is not sending the signal properly to drain.

Check for power (use a voltmeter but be careful it is probably 110Volts) to the solenoid when the machine should be draining. This verifies the controller and the wiring.

Check the resistance of the solenoid.

Many dishwashers ave the wiring diagram in a little envelope under the machine, or inside the front door. Take the panel off and look around for any paper or a big decal with the diagram. Sometimes the resistance values for the solenoid (and other components) is listed on the wiring diagram.

Be careful and turn off the power when necessary.
