make sure your downloading it to the right folder on the mp3 player its usualy the music folder or you can try and use windows media player here are some instructions for that option.
--**Windows Media Player**--
If you have a large playlist to transfer, you may prefer to do it from your media player, such as Windows Media Player. Once your MP3 player is connected to the computer, open Windows Media Player. Click on the "Sync Music" tab. Drag songs that you want from your Windows Media Library over to the "Sync Music" column to create a playlist. Click the "Begin Sync" tab at the bottom once you have all of the songs on your playlist. This action will sync all of the songs to your MP3 player with one click. Disconnect your device once songs have been transferred by clicking on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the bottom-right side of the desktop tray.

There are 2 screws on the back. Unscrew them.
Take off the back cover. (I found that the easiest way to that is by pushing it up with a small screwdriver through the data cable opening.)
Now you can take the battery out (It can be tricky because it is fixed to the bottom of the device with a two sided adhesive tape. Just apply some force on one side than on the other and you'll will ok)
Put the new battery in place, connect its connector.
Put the cover back.

I have read this on its operation manual, hope this will help

*If you turn on the Bass function while the equalizer setting is activated, the equalizer setting is disabled. The equalizer setting will be resumed when the Bass function is turned off.

*While the Bass function is activated, you cannot change the equalizer setting.

Connect the USB cable on your computer - it should be read as a Mass Storage Device

Open the Disk and locate the songs you want to delete
Highlight and press DELETE on keyboard

How to transfer songs, videos and pictures to a Sony NWZ Series Walkman Players

It is so easy to transfer music files, videos and pictures to a Sony Walkman using Windows Explorer. Of-course, it is almost same for other manufacturer products as well. You can use theWindows Explorer to transfer files (music, images and videos) to a Walkman Player. Once you connect the Walkman Player to the Computer, it will display asan additional storage media under My Computer. Please follow the below steps toaccess the Walkman Player using Windows Explorer.

Click Start and then click My Computer .
In the My Computer window, under Other , double click the icon for your portable player.
In the My Computer[Name of your portable player] window, double click Storage Media .

Now, drag and drop the music files or folders into the MUSIC folder.
Drag and drop video files or folders into the VIDEO folder.
Drag and drop picture/image files or folders into the PICTURE or DCIM folder.

Now, the only thing you want to make sure isthat you're transferring compatible files to the player to use in it.The video files should meet the following requirements.

I turn the mp3 on and it keeps scrolling down and wont let me press any other button tried charging turning off and reset still keeps scrolling down
