The range is terrible on my 2005 Trailblazer. Sometimes it will unlock from 30 feet away if I am behind the truck. Usually if I am coming from the from I end up standing right by the drivers door before the door will unlock. This is with a brand new battery. If I want all doors unlocked, often by the time I get it to respond a second time enough time has elapsed that the driver's door is all that will unlock again. Is there any adjustment or cleaning that can be done? Where is the sensor?

When you press a button on a transmitter, the transmitter sends a signal to the liftgate module. The liftgate module is a problem in this vehicle. It communicates with other modules through serial data. If you watch a scanner the module can't decide whether it has a code problem or not. The module has control over other things and has the tendency to confuse other communication modules, namely the body control module which controls the lock actuators.

The liftgate module is in the liftgate. Hard slamming of the liftgate will hurt this module.

It does need to be programmed when replaced.

2005 trailblazer sounds like a jet at startup. It goes away after 15 seconds oe so. can i fix this?

Depends, these trucks had problems with this, the noise you here is the electric air pump, it can be a little noisey, it should sound like a smooth jet engine bad as it starts going bad it gets a little louder but can still last a while (ayear or two), when it goes bad the engine light will come on, if its not too loud a wouldnt worry about it, even a new one will be heard, maybe not as loud but there noisey, it runs on start ups for a few sec -20 -30) hope this helps. good luck.

2005 Trailblazer EXT. Blower speed control not working...

Problem with blower motor is the blower motor resistor. They are usually located next to the blower motor, a couple of screws and a couple of plugs and your done. Autozone sells them for around $30 each. Wipers you may want to check for relays under the hood in the fuse block. There may be 2 relays 1 for low and 1 for high. I have switched relays from other working accesories and got wipers to work. Sometimes bad connection.

The alarm is going of all tht time

this may work.first replace the battery in the remote(or use a spare key that locks/unlocks the car from about 15 feet away)then lock the car with the key and hold over for about 30 secs, then press and hold unlock button on remote for 30 secs.OR unlock the car with the key and hold over, all the windows will drop(if fitted) then lock the car with the key and hold over as above.....

Air unit outside runs, but no air comes out the vents.

Air vent ducting has come adrift - start from the fan and try to find where the air flow goes. One of the pipes will be pointing away from a joint that it is supposed to be attached to. Check the airflow control knob area - behind it, that is - for loose piping.

2005 trailblazer check engine light on

Verify any "check engine" by first resetting the computer then waiting to see if it returns. To reset the computer, disconnect the battery cable (some say either cable, I say positive{red} cable). Leave the cable disconnected for about 30 minutes then reconnect it and start the engine. Because the cable was disconnected from power for a while, the computer will have to reboot upon startup. Just like any computer, sometimes a reboot will solve the hangup. If the error returns, it is likely a sensor is bad or the sensor is indicating a true problem.

Put the trailblazer in reverse and hear a terrible grinding noise coming from the rear drivers side?

Does it still have rev? If not, the shell is probably stripped or broken in the trans.
