How do i connect subwoofer (canton movie 125 mx) to amplifier(onkyo txnr609)? there is one subwoofer output on the amplifier with either L & R(mono) high level input or L & R(mono) low level input...

Connect front the sub out (single) on the amp to one of the rca inputs on the sub, This will work reasonably well but to make the most from the sub buy a 2 rca to 1 rca cable and use it to connect both rca inputs on the sub to the single output on the amp

Trying to hook up amplifier to after market 6by 9 using factory radio

You can not connect the speaker lines directly to the RCA inputs of your amplifier. But you can connect them to your amplifier if your amp has a high level input. Most of the time it looks just like the speaker jacks of the amp, but smaller. It will be labeled high level input or speaker input. Sometimes an amplifier will have a jack for a wiring harness just for this purpose. Some amplifiers have them and some don't.

If your amplifier does not have them, you can purchase a line level adapter at most anyplace that installs car stereos. it converts the speaker level to the proper level of the RCA input.
Just follow the instructions on how to connect it.

If you try to connect the speaker outputs directly to the RCA input of the amplifier you will blow up the pre-amp in your amplifier.

I hope this was helpful to you, if so a good rating is always appreciated.

Thanks and let me know if you need more help.

HDMI connection???

Hi Greg,
Again, if you have a high definition dish box with HDMI output, and a dvd player with HDMI output, please connect them both directly to your TV HDMI inputs.
When watching TV(dishnetwork box).remember to switch the HDMI video inputs.
Same as your DVD player, you need to switch it under your TV video input.

Bravia KLV-S40A10 HDMI input

I agree with your solution and you are correct in that you lose very little quality by using component instead of HDMI. there are A/V receivers that transcode HDMI inputs to component; as far as I know that's the only other option

Fostex mr16 eq/presets

In short - No. The Eq menu is the only way to affect the frequency levels on the inputs, but if you select stereo buss and listen to the inputs, you can hear the effect of each Eq on the relevant input.
