SOURCE: The engine starts just fine. Everything goes okay

One thing I have found about pressure washers...you need to run water through the hose and everything until you get all the air out...or they will bog down and such until the air is out.

SOURCE: Once the trigger is released it won't starting spraying again.

I have the same problem. This is the responce for Karcher......

The unloader valve may be sticking, or is dirty. It probably needs to be cleaned and may need to be replaced, it is inexpensive. It gets a lot of use, but extends the life of the pump. The function of the unloader is to allow the machine to run in a bypass mode while the trigger of the gun is closed. First, a lack of high pressure can be caused by: 1. Insufficient water feeding to the unit, so check that the water is turned on all the way and that there are no kinks in the hose. 2. The inlet filter may be clogged. (it will need to be removed and thoroughly cleaned). 3. An internal water leak. 4.Also, low pressure can be caused by worn spray tips. If you have checked the first three with no resolution, the problem is internal and could be as simple as a sticking unloader valve. If you are mechanically inclined, you can clean this valve yourself and greasing the o-rings (use lithium based grease), or take it to a local service center. You do not need to take the pump apar
t. The unloader valve is located under the cover, and is secured with 2 bolts. (Use needle nose pliers to remove the valve) For those units with pressure and volume controls, the unloader is located under the pressure and volume control knobs themselves. Do not take any other bolts off or you will open the pump and lose the pump's oil.

Note: Lithium based grease will prevent future failure of the unloader valve.

Also, check websites such as fixya.com for tips and how-to info particularly on cleaning the unloader valve. Be sure to use lithium grease if you reassemble it.
I am going to check the manuel to see where it's at

SOURCE: New Troy-Bilt 3000 psi - Very Hard to Hot Start

When you run the unit and shut if off, release the pressure from the spray wand before trying to restart the engine. This built up pressure will cause it to be very hard to start as you have found out. If it does not start on the second pull release the pressure again. Another option is do do what I did on mine. I simply put a pull tie on the handle so I can pull the trigger back and use the pull tie to hold the trigger open. Make sure if you do this, that you remove the high pressure orifice from the end of the wand before attempting to start the engine. Otherwise the pressure will come on abruptly and could injure you or do property damage.

SOURCE: I bought a new 2600 psi pressure washer. It

Hi. I think the problem may be called either vapor lock or cavitation, or it could be called something else, but the solution is to take the wand apart in the center and let the trapped water escape, then putting it back together before re-engaging the lever.

Homelite 2700 psi Pressure Washer has water shooting out bottom of pump of what looks like a port with female threads

It's not much of a manual, but a port with female threads sounds like a place that should have a threaded plug in it and is used from draining down in winter to stop freezing water cracking the pump.

Here are parts. Part 17 is Drain Plug Bolt.

The engine cuts off when i squeeze the handle on the sprayer, what is causing this to happen?

Sounds like a bad unloader valve. Do a search on "pressure washer unloader valve symptoms". When they are faulty there will either be little pressure or it will stop an engine abruptly. The engine will not just die down as it you were turning it off. It would stop cold.

Engine runs fine. But it quits when I pull the trigger on the wand to start washing

Does this behavior change if the engine is warm and on minimum choke? Do you get any water spray before the engine quits? Carburetor could be dirty or float stuck. Try putting dose of carburetor cleaner through engine and cycle choke lever and engine speed lever back and forth while engine is running after it has warmed up without running water spray. See owners manual.

Honda 160 homelite pressure washer 2700 psi no pressure

Water comes out the nozzle, but low pressure? ( more than when the motor is not running)
I would check the check valves and the unloader.
If the amount of water coming out the nozzle is the same when the motor is running or not running.
Either the key that connects the motor shaft to the pump shaft is sheared, or the pump is trash.
No water comes out the nozzle would indicate a clogged inlet filter or blockage at the gun valve or nozzle.

This wire is yellow and Goes into my crankcase through the center of a nut. I was just wondering what this wire was and what to search to replace it.

Mi TM 2700 pressure washer has no pressure.

With the water on, to the washer and the unit running. Does the water come out at the same rate before the trigger as at does after the trigger (run test with spray nozzle removed). Its not impossible for unloader valve to be bad but it usually is a dependable component. Make sure the unit has the air purged from it properly before start-up, make sure there are no obstructions before the trigger, then the nozzle. The unloader valve just puts the pump into by-pass until the trigger is depressed.
