I recently purchased a Amazon fire HD10 tablet to use for work. I was sent a link by email to load a software program onto my new HD10 device. It asked me to create a file on my HD10 desktop. I don't know how I can't right click. I just want the software on the hard drive of my new Fire HD10 tablet but not sure how. Wasn't sent a user's manual with my new purchase. Please HELP!!!

Yes, Kindle is a name used for all the Amazon tablets and e-readers.

Kindle 2, 4, 5, 7, 8
Kindle DX
Kindle Touch
Kindle paperwhite (1,2,3 generation)
Kindle Voyage
Kindle Oasis
Kindle FIre 7
Kindle Fire HD 6, 7, 8, 8.9, 10
Kindle Fire HDX 7, 8.9

And I probably missed some in here.

I can't register my Amazon Fire HD8

To buy content and deliver it to your device, you will need to connect to a wireless network and register your Fire tablet to an Amazon account.
If you are setting up a new Fire tablet for the first time, you'll be taken through setup instructions and will have the chance to register your device. Follow the instructions on your screen.
To register your Fire tablet outside of the initial setup screens:
  1. From Home, swipe down from the top of the screen and then tap Settings.
  2. Tap My Account.
  3. Tap Register.
    • If you already have an Amazon account: Enter your Amazon account information, and then tap Continue.
    • If you do not have an Amazon account: Tap Start Here, and then follow the instructions to set up a new account.

Note: If you've forgotten your Amazon account password, you can reset it by requesting that a personalized "password reset" link be sent to your e-mail address. To learn more, go to Reset Your Account Password .
If you need to deregister your device from an Amazon account, follow the steps above, and then tap Deregister. After you deregister your device from an Amazon account, you won't be able to access items stored in the Cloud for that account.
After deregistering, you can register your Fire tablet to another Amazon account. Related Help Topics

I just bought a e book from amazon for my kindle fire and it is not going through. I recently had to change my pass word for amazon . is that why it is not going through?

Go into your Amazon account and under "Digital Content" click on "Manage Your Content and Devices". Find the book you purchased and click on the first box in front of it. You will then see a tab at the top that gives you the option of where you want it delivered. Choose the correct device (whatever name you have for your kindle fire). It will re-send it. If you have multiple devices, it may have sent it to a different one the first time.

My old kindle quit working and I bought a new kindle fire. How can I add my old kindle account to my new kindle fire?

What you really need to do is add your new Kindle device to your
existing Amazon Kindle account. The good news is if you bought it from Amazon new, Amazon automatically registers it to your existing account. So . . .

Go to the Amazon website using your laptop or desktop computer and log onto your Amazon account.

1)On the upper right of the page you should see *Hello (your name)*
Drop down this menu by hovering your mouse pointer on it.

2) Select *Manage your content and devices*

3) If you're not logged in, enter your Username and password.

4) If you're browser is set to save passwords an log in you won't
need to do step 3

5) Select the *Your Devices* tab

6) All your Kindle devices should be listed there, including the new
Kindle Fire.

7) You can click on your old Kindle and *deregister* it.

8) You can make your new Kindle Fire your *default device* and
you can edit your other Kindle devices such as any Android
Device onto which you have installed the Kindle App.

9) The default device status ensures new books purchased will
automatically download to that device when it's connected to
the internet via Wi-Fi or 3G depending on what your Kindle Fire
is configured with.

10) You can click on the *Settings* tab to manage your credit card and other information.

How do i re-register my kindle onto a different account

First, you need to deregister the Kindle from the old account.

Deregistering will retain the already downloaded books on the E-Ink devices but wipes all purchased content tied to the old account from e.g. Kindle Fire. You cannot restore books from the cloud anymore you purchased on the old account and access to the shop is blocked until the device is registered again. Other Kindle's on the same account and the account itself remain unaffected.

You can do the deregistration from the Kindle's settings menu --> Registration or alternatively from an Amazon web site:

Log in to http://kindle.amazon.com using the old credentials (email + password).

Next, select "Manage Your Kindle" from menu that opens when you hover the mouse over the "Hello, <Name>" link in the upper right corner of the page.

Click on the center tab "Your Devices" and review the list of Kindle devices and software readers tied to your account. Select the device to deregister and click on "deregister" below.

To register the Kindle to a new account, go online with the Kindle, and follow the registration procedure callable from the settings menu. Find a detailed description on
