Not really. Repairs are right about $150 - $250. Resistor Kit, Caps., maybe other parts, and labor charges.

Hello. I have the exact same tv. and the same thing happened to me! What i did was buy a expensive Surge Protector and now it works! I hope this info is useful!

Mine was doing this for a while and now is completely black all the
time. I have a thought as to what this might be... I believe the
problem is not the lamp or light engine but rather one of the brushless
fans failing. This causes the tv to shut down as a safety measure
because of the inability to purge the heat that would build up VERY
QUICKLY and warp, damage and destroy everything else. I believe the
problem being intermittent at first is due to the fan performing a
"death rattle". The fan itself could be fine and more of an indirect
problem. I believe the wiring coming out of the fan is inadequately
insulated against the heat generated. It begins to cook, crack and
eventually the bare wires touch causing a short or they just stop conducting altogether and fail.
The good news? You may be able to re-wrap the wires and be up and running again. If the fan needs to be replaced altogether, they cost about $15 and can be
purchased on the internet. Nothing special about them. You would want
to make sure it has the same leads coming out of the fan to facilitate
the change-out. Again, I haven't attempted to install a new fan on mine
yet but it will be the first thing I try.
If any of you attempt this before I do, please post your resulting
experience for the rest of us. I will do the same. Good luck.
