No there are no points. It has an "ignition module" which is a fancy name for a magneto with integrated electronics that eliminates the need for points.
You have "spark" so likely its a fuel (carburetor) issue or has developed a crankcase leak.
If you suspect spark is not at proper time, that would be a stripped flywheel key.

Your engine doesn't have points. I suspect the black wire is a ground for the ignition. You can check this by taking a very small chunk out of the insulation and then using an ohmmeter to check and see if it is indeed grounded. If it is you probably need an ignition coil assy. It is triggered from the flywheel itself. Make sure your switch is ok and the wires going to it are ok.

I assume that you mean it won't run rather than a locked engine. Check for spark at the spark plug. Is it wet with fuel? Is the air cleaner free of sawdust and dirt? If it has flooded, pull through with wide open throttle and no choke.
A locked engine could be a hydraulic lock (a lot of fuel in the upper cylinder) which should be expelled when pulling the starter cord with the spark plug removed, or a mechanical problem like a thrown connecting rod, broken piston or loose ignition components under the flywheel, or a frozen starter mechanism. Good luck!

McCulloch Manuals
Illustrated Parts Lists: (IPLs) are fairly simple, on the underside of McCulloch saws is a black and yellow tag; the upper number (“Power Mac 320” 600021H) is the model, below it a serial number (11-18555). These 2 numbers are combined to create an IPL number (“Power Mac 320” IPL number = 11-600021H). The IPL number can be used to find the correct IPL for every McCulloch parts supplier I have found. If the parts supplier only list part numbers the proper IPL is the source for the part number.
Operators Manuals: are much more difficult. I have dialed this number many times (Contact Us - All McCulloch Products 1 (800) 521-8559) and have yet to get a satisfactory response. Please try this! If enough of us try they will fix it! If unsuccessful with McCulloch try here:

SOURCE: When trying to pull start
Take the spark plug out and pull the cord to see if it stuck.
Drain all gas and get a new mix.Put back the sp and start.
If thr cord was unable to pull, thr pisto and crankshaft must be service.
