You need to disassemble the case to get to the fuel tank. Pull out the plug fitting and replace the internals with new factory grade parts.

Chain saws are still two-cycle engines (gas and oil mix) and they foul the spark plug pretty rapidly if not in perfect tune. Remove the spark plug and re-attach the wire and let the plug contact any metal part such as the cylinder head. Make sure the gas petcock is off and the start switch is on. Pull on the recoil starter and see if you have a spark jumping from the center electrode of the plug to the outer electrode of the plug. Clean and re-gap the plug and try it again. If no spark, the center electrode could be broken up inside the ceramic insulator and you can't see it. Try a new plug. If still no spark, another component of the simple electrical system could be bad. If your saw has a capacitor, change that out also. Sometimes the small coil that rides very close to the magnets on the flywheel comes out of adjustment. Proper gap for that is a small piece cut from a cereal box and placed between the coil and flywheel while re-tightening the coil bolts. Do not let the coil scrape on the flywheel. It must have spark, fuel and compression to run. Your task is to figure out which is missing.
Sometimes electrical components quit operating once beyond a certain temperature. Does it always start cold and become tempermental when warm?
IMO most hard start problems on a chainsaw with a good fuel delivery system are flooded.
Start Procedure
Cold:

1. Ignition on/off to on
2. Set compression release – optional step even if saw is equipped with a compression release
3. Pull (close) choke, set fast idle (done when choke closed on some saws); pull starter and listen for an attempt to start. once heard (usually two pulls; no more than 4)
4. Set compression release – optional step even if saw is equipped with a compression release
5. Push (open) choke pull starter until it starts. (usually first pull)

3. Pull (close) choke, set fast idle (done when choke closed on some saws) - Don’t pull with choke closed.
4. Push (open) choke, pull starter until it starts. (usually first pull)

Ignition coil gap:
An index or business card is a good gap tool. Remove the plug, rotate until magnetic attraction pulls coil and card tight to flywheel, tighten the coil screws. Rotate flywheel until magnetic attraction eases, remove card, rotate a couple of revolutions and ensure nothing drags or contacts flywheel. HTH
