Probably a problem with the door interlock switch. There is a mechanism either in the door or the cabinet that lets the machine know when the door is closed properly.

SOURCE: lights blinking

I have a 3122 and had a similar problem, Lights flashing, humming noise and me standing there scratching my head! I emptied all the water out of the filter basket and then tilted the machine backwards (only needed about 20 degrees) and then the rest of the water drained all over the floor... about 1/2 a liter. Now its all good! and the missus is nun the wiser!

SOURCE: model 1485 asko dishwasher. Wont

Hi,

If there are no lights on the display i.e ' dead ' - it is highly suggestive of faulty control board. You need to replace the control board. Once replaced, it would fix the problem.

Unfortunately, there is no reset or fuse that could fix this situation.

You should bear in mind that there may be an underlying cause for the failure of the control board.
If there is then simply fitting a new one may result in the new board blowing.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

SOURCE: Asko Dishwasher D1896. Program appears

Hi

You can leave it unplugged for 30 minutes to reset it, if the issue returns then it seems that the issue is with the door latch mechanism or the control board itself going bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

SOURCE: built in asko dishwasher lights

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

Based on your post I understand you have an Asko dishwasher, first off I'd like to verify the model number and second the symptoms or status.

You said the lights along the top do light. yet the unit will not start when you select a cycle and the door is closed, correct ?

There are a few possible scenarios (depending on the model of Asko) so I'll need to clarify the model before moving forward. Anything thing else you can add is beneficial.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Asko D5457 Intermittently stops mid-way through cycle and resets itself. Ghost buttons beep and cycle changed by itself.

It sounds like your Asko D5457 dishwasher may be experiencing an issue with the control panel or the main circuit board. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check for any visible damage to the control panel or buttons. If the buttons or control panel are damaged, this could cause the dishwasher to malfunction.
  2. Check for any loose wiring or connections. Make sure that all of the wiring is properly connected and secure.
  3. Try resetting the dishwasher by unplugging it and then plugging it back in.
  4. If the issue persists, you may want to try running a diagnostic test on the dishwasher. Consult the manufacturer's manual for instructions on how to do this.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it is possible that the control panel or main circuit board is faulty and will need to be replaced. It is recommended to contact a professional for assistance with repairing or replacing these parts.

Asko D5457 DISHWASHER. Dishes are clean but not dry.. Especially plastics on top eack despite long dry selected. Any ideas as to what may be occurring?

Unfortunately, plastic will not dry well if at all in this model. The only heat for drying is the residual heat left in the dishware after the hot rinse cycle. Plastics do not have enough thermal mass to hold on to the heat long enough to dry. Also, you MUST use a rinse agent in this washer. Those detergent packets with rinse aid in it is not enough. Make sure to keep the rinse aid dispenser full.

Start light flashing. Dishwasher wont start

I'm guessing as you did not list the model number. Something similar happened on mine. Due to a freeze, there was a small crack in the inlet and water had slowly leaked. As a safety feature, the Asko has a tray under the dishwasher inside the overall dimensions. It has a float. When the float rises, the drain pump starts and the dishwasher will not start. In my case, the drip pan is not connected to the drain which gave me the drain sound, but did nothing to remove the leaky water.

I suggest you take the front bottom panel off the dishwasher and check for water/leaks.

ASKO dishwasher D3122 drain pump wont stop pumping and the machine wont respond when we press any of the program or start/stop buttons. the program light is flashing. We can turn the power off with the...

Had the same symptom; pump wouldn’t turn off, program light flashing and would stay on even if turned off, only killing the mains power would turn it off. Ended being a small split in drain hose right next to elbow under the unit.
This thread saved us from buying a new one as my wife was about to do...so thank you.
