I need help I have a Nakajima wpt-150 . Yesterday I was typing and it was working amazing no flaws this is only a year old . Then in the middle of nowhere my words started overlapping the tap wasn’t moving and it keeps just retyping a new letter over the same spot. I tried removing the ribbon moving it forward turning off and on what do I do

Check to see if the ribbon is moving, then advance the ribbon manually about 6 inches, the ribbon may be old and they do go bad especially the exposed part. If the ribbon isn't advancing Code peroid, comma or slash will get you out of the overstrike mode.

could be a defective ribbon, try new one if it looks like the letters are almost typing on top of each other on the ribbon. it could be a problem with the ribbon drive of the printhammer. if a new ribbon doesn't help, get professional help.
