How to change battery in vivicam 5199 - Vivitar ViviCam 5199 Digital Camera

My vivitar vivicam 9199,when you press on/off to start,the red busy light comes on and thats it ,will not do anything else,will not even shut off,i have to take batteries out to shut off,any advice would be appreciated
