What does a white explanation mark mean when updating my Pfaff icon from a usb stick

Contact manufacturer help desk, and they should be able to sort the issue

By DataTraveler you mean a Kingston USB memory stick, correct?
Try plugging it into a different USB port.
If it doesn't, try plugging it into a different computer. Does it work there? If not, then your USB stick has probably failed.

If it works on another computer but not on the first, it probably means that the USB Storage driver software is not loading properly on the first computer. First, restart the computer. Does it work now?
If not, then you probably have to repair or reload the USB storage driver.

"Go to start menu > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device Manager.
If it's not already expanded, meaning showing the items listed under it, click the arrow next to "Disk drives" and see if it lists a Memory USB Device or something similar. Right click the Memory USB Device, or whatever your memory stick is called, and click "Update driver Software" then click Search Automatically for updated driver software. If that finds something then good, problem might be fixed, if it says "The best driver software for your device is already installed," close that window and right click the drive again and click uninstall then press OK. Then at the top of the window you'll see an icon that looks like a computer with a magnifying glass on it, if you hover over it it will say "Scan for hardware changes" click that and it'll reinstall the drivers."

When I updated my Janome. I had to have them send me the files on a usb. Nothing I did with any of my USB sticks and I have several would work.

But it is likely that you need the files unziped before you load them to the USB stick.

scroll to disk drives if you can see your drive + to expand right click you should see options update driver disable uninstall scan for hardware changes
select properties you should see options in the general tab to troubleshoot policies volumes driver and details under the driver tab you will have the options to check the driver details update driver rollback driver or uninstall
