Hi patricia_597,
Unplug the unit from the outlet, then while unplug, press and hold the power on button for one minute to drain the voltage and refresh the boards...
Try to open again and see if the symptoms remain the same...
If yes, the power supply board produced an out-of-regulation condition and disable the unit. The most common caused of this symptom is the leaky/dried filter electrolytic capacitor in the output of the power supply section. It will drop the voltage from normal and trigger the blinking of the led light. It will not power up unless isolated the faulty parts.
Leaky capacitor sometimes has a bulged/dome at the top but not all.
Dried capacitor has no physical indication of fault and looks new and in good condition but actually not. You must have a capacitor checker to determine its condition and pinpoint the faulty one.
If you don't have necessary tools and test instrument and can't troubleshoot the unit yourself, I would advice you to look for a qulified technician to isolate the symptoms..
Also check if your unit is under warranty period, avail it because the manufacturer will fix it for free. Don't attempt to open the back panel because it will void the warranty.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.
