Are you having problems with your GE Profile Harmony but don't know where to start to troubleshoot? Let the dryer do it for you, here's how:
It's called "Field Service Mode" 1. Press the POWER key to turn the dryer on. 2. Press HELP. The main help screen is displayed. 3. Press and hold MY CYCLES and BACK simultaneously for 3 seconds. Press EXIT to return to the HOME screen.
The system will give you a description of possible hardware failure and troublecode.
Replace the failed piece of hardware and plug your system back in. It will go through a boot-up sequence and verify that your machine is working once again.
If there were no problems before replacing drum I would go back and make sure all 3 wiring connections are made behind the door panel. From there this machine is too complex to diagnose over the phone.
I went to GE's website and found the solution there. Just enter "problem detected service" in the search bar and use the result for the washer - it's the same diagnostic tool. Follow the instructions and you're good to go.
unplug the unit for a period of time(2 hrs.) to possibly clear memory, unless they are "Hard-Codes" and can't be erased w/o finding out the service code from g.e.
