HL-r6167w wont start up (HELP)

I Changed the lamp and TV still does not work. No picture nor sound, just a buzzing noise. When i press the on button the TV acts as if it is going to start up but only buzzes and makes a squealing noise. After it tries to start up and doesn't happen, then it sounds like it tries to shut itself off and then tries starting back up again. This continues for a minute or so and then finally does shut itself off showing all three lights again (timer, power, standby/high temp). i took out the light and the lamp ballast and turned on the tv and i still acts as if it is going to start up. It still makes The buzzing an squealing noise. Spent so much money on this TV can someone give me a solution...thank you

What is the part number of the color wheel? I am also having this same problem. We ordered a new bulb ($150) and that wasn't the problem. They are telling us it is probably the color wheel. Does anyone have the part number for this for the HL-R6167W?

Samsung Hl r6167w started buzzing and shut down

Hello, the "buzzing" sound could be from a broken lamp, or the bearing in the color wheel. First pull out the lamp and inspect it, if it look like it's not broken inside or looking burnt, it may be the color wheel.....tks

TV makes humming noise, lamp light is blinking, does not turn on

Your color wheel needs to be changed. Mine just did the same thing. I changed mine, and the buzzing sound went away, however now my picture washes out with light or yellow colors. The darks look green and purple also.

No picture or sound after replacing lamp

Possible bad color wheel...

Pull the lamp out & look inside where the lamp sends the light-

does the color wheel look defective? If so,replace it.

Or, the lamp ballast may be bad. After that, usually replace

complete engine.
