SOURCE: feed dogs on serger don't advance

I use my BLSE200 all the time and ran into the same problem just last week. After pulling out my hair in frustration, I finally realized it had to do with the stitch length. Something wasn't connecting after I adjusted the stitch length, so when I re-set the stitch length, it popped things back into alignment and the feed dogs started working again. *whew* Hope that helps!

SOURCE: I have a singer 6110 machine & the fabric feed

Unplug the machine, turn it on its back and undo the base cover......there may well be a load of shredded teeth from the timing gear .... it is not impossibe to have this repaired, but ask for a quote and see if the money would be better invested in another machine.

SOURCE: feed dogs dont move fabric thur

Have you changed the stitch length selector to zero ? If there is no lint trapped under the needle plate between the feed teeth, then the length selector is likely set too small,.

I have a babylock 5380e serger, the feed d? ogs don't move to pull fabric thru, what can I check?

Check the stitch length setting. However, I suspect something may be amiss because the feeddogs should move if even slightly...

My serger is leaving marks on the fabric...little lines like from the feed dogs. I have cleaned, checked everything and cleaned again. I've also tried several different fabrics.

This sounds like too much presser foot pressure.
You can reduce the pressure on the foot by turning the knob on top of your serger counter clock wise

Can serger for about 3 inches on my brother 1354d serger and then thread breaks

Serger thread breaks
1. Is the serger threaded correctly?
2. Is the needles inserted correctly?
3. Is one of the needles bent or damaged?
4. Is the tension adjusted too tightly?
5. Is the tension adjusted to accommodate thickness of thread being used?
6. Are you using inferior quality thread?
7. Is the thread feeding of the cone/spool freely?
8. Is the needle size correct for the type of fabric being used?
9. Are the needles being used the correct one for the serger?

Broken needles

Machine breaks needles
change needles
make sure you are using the right needle for your type of machine.
the presser foot may not be installed properly
use the correct needle for the type of fabric you are working with. To fine of needle on heavy fabric or to course a needle on silk or jersey can damage fabric.
let the feed dogs guide the fabric & the feed dogs will work with the presser foot .
the needles is not all the way in -push all the way up against the stop
Check thread tension

How to use a blind hem stitch foot on the White overlock 2000

The blind hem stitch foot is actually just a guide to keep the folded edge of the fabric away from the cutters, and close enough to the needle, to catch a snippit of fabric to actually hem the item you are feeding thru the machine.
The trick is in the folding, and this vid clip is a good guide for the folding technique. Keep in mind that the 'lip' of fabric she is talking about will be overlocked, and your hem will have alot more 'give', providing a stretch that would be helpful for a stretch fabric.

What is the size of the needle used in the white superlock 1934D

This is a very highly regarded serger. Check out the reviews on http://sewing.patternreview.com if you're interested--but they are all extremely positive.

I also checked out the White Sewing Machine site--the three sergers they currently sell all use regular sewing machine needles.

Based on what I read on both sites, I believe your machine also uses regular sewing machine needles (not all sergers do, BTW). To be absolutely certain, you can call the White Help Line (l 800-331-3164, Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM, EST).

If your serger uses regular sewing machine needles, then the size of the needle depends on the type of fabric you're sewing. Sizes 8 to 10 for lightweight fabrics, 12 to 14 for medium weight fabrics, and 16 to 18 for heavy weight. Use ballpoint needles for knits, jeans needles for denim, and universal needles or sharps for woven fabrics.
