SOURCE: how can i deactivate the protect that blinks in my

Disconnecting the terminal will take to much time.. In between the skip button ,and the #1 on your stereo there is a little dot. Barely noticable unless you know what your looking for, take a safety pin or a screw( anything with a little tip) and push it in. This will restart your stereo. (Car Must be on)

SOURCE: Kenwood KDC-MP732 CD Player in protect mode how do

Protect Mode (Blink): The speaker wire has a short-circuit or touches the chassis of the vehicle, and then the protection function is activated.

Solution: Wire or insulate the speaker cable properly and press the reset button.

Here is a copy of the Instruction Manual for the Kenwood KDC-X790 and KDC-MP732.

My kenwood stop and the word PROTECT is on , what shall I do? kenwood kdc-mp342u car cd player.

Try checking your speakers and speaker wires for shorts and/or grounds if you can. If they all check out good, try resetting your deck. The reset switch should be a small indentation about the size of a pencil tip on the face of the deck. If all that doesn't work, you may have a bad output ic inside of the deck.

My radio is in protect mode. How do i get it off?

If it is in protect (Blink):- The speaker wire has a short-circuit or touches the chassis of the vehicle, and then the protection function is activated. Wire or insulate the speaker cable properly and press the reset button. If the "PROTECT" code does not disappear, consult your nearest service center.

I cant find the kenwood factory code for a kdc-mp342u radio

You can enter a 4-digit security code which must be used when the unit is removed from the vehicle, or the constant power source is disconnected from the unit. When constant power is restored to the unit, the security code must be entered before the unit becomes operational.
If the code is lost or forgotten I am afraid the unit has to be re-coded by a Kenwood dealer.
Good luck with it.

The screen on my KDC-MP342U just blinks with the word PROTECT

first, check your speakers and speaker wires for shorts, then disconnect power to the radio for a few seconds and reconnect it. if that doesn't work, then you probably have a bad output ic.
