SOURCE: 90 Series Kenmore Washer Not going to spin cycle not draining water

I've had the same problem...you can purchase a replacement lid switch at your local appliance parts store for about $35. Fortunatly, the sales person at the appliance store had diagrams and provided instructions to replace the switch. I was able to finish the job and fix the switch in less than 1 hour. Good Luck.

SOURCE: kenmore washer model 82980120, stopped working

Check the sound of a CLICK when you close the lid door. If you do not here it then it's your LIMIT SWITCH that is broken. I had a similar problem and to get my water out quickly I removed the cover that wraps the washer and removed the limit switch and joined the two wires together so that the machine thinks the lid it closed. It is not a safe thing to do but it gives you time to go buy a new one in the mean time you can continue to do your washing. Just remember that when you open the lid door your washer will still SPIN on it's RINSE and DRAIN CYCLE. be very careful if you have KIDS. I hope this will solve your problem.

SOURCE: Kenmore 90 model 110.20912991 wont stop filling with water

On my kenmore 90, I found out that when putting back the cabinet, the hose that is connected to the load size selector was pinched... probably affecting the vacuum/pressure. Re-assembling the unit ensuring the unit was not longer pinched solved the problem.

SOURCE: Kenmore front load clothes washer fills with water and stops. No error code and door is locked. 2007 model, we tried unplugging and draining. We can't see model number because door is locked. Help!

Justin, check or by pass the lid switch if it has one, with a insulated jumper wire.

My Kenmore 600 Series won't spin after wash cycle

the clutch should be checked for wear by spraying water from water bottle on it when you run the spin load and it should not show any steam or sizziling, you can also remove the clutch and try to hand spin the inside while holding the body it should not be able to spin easily, should be difficult to move. should be a tight fit, im sending more pics but fixya giving me problem s sending them, also check the motor coupler for damage or broken pieces on floor.

also test the door switch by jumpering it,

Won't spin

check your lid switch ...on the lid you see a little plunger this should go into a slot areound the rim of the washer and close a switch. you can try a small screwdriver to press it in while in the spin cycle..see if it works then if not the sw will have to be replaced as this needs to be closed (lid) before the unit will pump out and spin

I have a kenmore model # 110.26934691 / 90 series

Check the warm and hot cycles. If they work then the pressure valve needs replaced. Disconnect the watert hose to machine and make sure water comes out. Back screens may be clogged also.
