Doorbell button is sticking or slightly pressed in. Check to see if cover is installed correctly. It may be on on one side.

Check that the dipswitches on the button and the reciever doorbell unit match. Also verify that your battery is not installed the wrong way.

Batteries are located in the doorbell push button case in the back. Slide open a compartment to reveal the batteries.
