SOURCE: dishwasher hums as if it is starting to run but no

Sounds like the solenoid isn't working. Either that or the pressure switch is telling the solenoid that it has water, a regular problem in hardwater areas. This can be temporarily fixed by removing the pink plastic pipe which is connected to the solenoid and draining the water out of it. I'm not sure whether the problem is with the solenoid or the pressure switch but its a bit of an exercise to get at the pressure switch. Zanussi have a mod kit to replace the pressure switch (5027 14 95-00/9) which your machine might find beneficial. My wife fixed our problem by ordering a new machine! She hates me fixing anything.

Dishwasher won't run

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. If the clean light flashes 7 times, pauses, and then repeats. When the dishwasher doesn't sense a water temperature increase, it stops working and locks the functions (clean light flashes 7 times, all buttons are non responsive). It does this as a safety in case the element is broken and feeding electrical current into the water.

To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...

-high temp wash

-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry

All the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cycle finish (1-2 minutes). You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal. If the issue returns, you could have a problem with the heating circuit (i.e. element, thermostat or wiring). It rarely happens but it could also be the door switch not engaging properly when the door is closed (slightly bend the door latch down making sure it doesn't hit the door when you close it). Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Won't finish cycle

The water may not be getting hot enough in the rinse cycle. Usually it needs to heat to 140 to 160 degrees for rinsing. If the heating element is not working the water will not heat. If your DW has a Sanitary setting it will be calling for the water to be 160 degrees. If you have the option to override the Sanitary settin, try that to see if the rinse cycle will finish with cooler water.

Fisher paykel dishwasher dd601I runs complete normal cycle and finishes normally. 2-3 sec. after completion the washer motor srarts to run and the f1 fault (flood sw. activated) is dislayed. When the power...

Hi

F1 code indicates an overfill condition which may cause when dishwasher can’t pump out dirty water due to a plugged drain hose.
open dishwasher fully ,dry up as much water as possible then put a hair dryer on hot and direct into the back of the cabinet you will see a grey plastic cover on the bottom floor this is the sensor run on full for about 5 - 10 minutes making sure the heat go into that area. Also don’t overheat your hair dryer, when finished close the dishwasher shut and start your normal cycle.

Runs forever! even on Normal wash...help !!

Check to make sure you heating element has not failed. Dishwashers of today heat the water periodically through out the cycle and if the element has failed. The heating delay light is the indicator that tells you that it is trying to heat the water.
