Let me give you few suggestions and then you can take it from there.

firstly IP camera is just what its name says..it needs a fixed IP address it may be local as in your lan where it is working or a IP address from ISP.
Now when you connect it behind router... it is essentially a camera connected to LAN.
now the problem is DYNDNS.com will give access to your router since that is connected to dynamic IP addressing. However Ip camera is behind router and to access it you need to open proper protocol and port in router .consult your router manual for doing that.

with your current setup that is the only solution. however you can connect Ip camera directly to ISP line and then use dyndns as in case of router. though i dont know how feasible that will be for you.you have not mentioned IP camera model so cant help with specific details.

Hi, I am having D-link DSL 1504G LAN extender, it is use for so many days. Recently i tried to reset it's not happening and its old setted IP is also not working. The default IP is 192.168.0/1.1.. IN LED...

The reset provided on LAN extender is for reboot & not the the hardware reset for LAN Extender. Use console cable. Go to hyper terminal mode & you will be able to access LAN Extender irrespective of whatever IP settings are. Then in Menu under software Maintainance you will find Factory reset. Use that option & it will come back to original 192.168.0.1 address. Then you can use it again normally. You still find problems mail me at following address.

How do i hook up my router?

There are several ways to do this, depending on how your network is configured.

Generally, if you have only one router - you connect the network jack of your cable modem or DSL modem to the WAN ("wide area network" or "internet") jack of the router with a CAT 5 network cable or jumper. Each computer's network jack would be connected to one of the router's (4) LAN ("local area network" or "home network") jacks labeled 1, 2, 3, & 4.

steve_con_12.jpg
In the picture above, the left most jack (WAN) of the router connects to the cable or DSL modem. The "LAN" jacks labeled "1, 2, 3 & 4" connect to each computer's network jack in your home.

The above would change if you are simply adding this router to extend an existing network. You'd likely be using this router as a switch, and leaving the routing duties to the main router. Over simplified, all the CAT 5 network cables would be connected to the 4 LAN jacks. There would be no connection to the router's WAN jack because the output of the first router provides only private IP addresses used in YOUR location. The internet IP address from your ISP is used only at the first router so that your entire home has the single IP address. The WAN jack is for internet addresses only - and the LAN jacks are for local / private addresses in your home only.

Have a look at the LinkSys web site for help configuring your particular model router, or reply with the model and version here.

I hope this helps & good luck. Please rate my reply - thanks!

Try diagnose and repaire the connection if that does not work Reset your modem it should go back to default manufacture setup. Then turn modem off and connect any computer or laptop to the modem with ethernet wire turn the modem on go back to your computer that you are connected to modem with wire go to network connections and disable the wireless Network connection and enable local area connection once you see you have connected and have internet working go to start menu you can do this on the start search bar with vista or run with any other windows version type cmd and press enter, it should bring a DOS command menu and then type in ipconfig and enter scroll up and down to where you see default gateway type that ip address to your internet browser it should take you to login screen username should be administrator password admin setup your WEB key make the wireless access available DO NOT FORGET to write the web key down, give a name to the connection and change the default password from admin to something you can remember. save the settings and turn that off keep the laptop on. Can't access adminpage of the router from the 1st lan

you can use ethernet cable, or you can use the wireless.

search for the wireless network and connect your pc to that wireless network. or simply connect an ethernet cable to your pc and connect other end to the Linksys WRT54GL .

open an internet explorer (or whatever you use) type ip address.

D-link cant accesed internet 4pc

Most of DSL modems are connected to PC with USB cable...
n if ur server is connected with other pc on lan .. you can use internet sharing option available in winxp.

Following are the steps to enable Internetsharing for other pcs.

How to use Internet Connection Sharing loadTOCNode(2, 'summary'); To use Internet Connection Sharing to share your Internet connection, the host computer must have one network adapter that is configured to connect to the internal network, and one network adapter or modem that is configured to connect to the Internet.

On the host computer loadTOCNode(3, 'summary'); On the host computer, follow these steps to share the Internet connection:
  1. Log on to the host computer as Administrator or as Owner.
  2. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
  3. Click Network and Internet Connections.
  4. Click Network Connections.
  5. Right-click the connection that you use to connect to the Internet. For example, if you connect to the Internet by using a modem, right-click the connection that you want under Dial-up.
  6. Click Properties.
  7. Click the Advanced tab.
  8. Under Internet Connection Sharing, select the Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection check box.
  9. If you are sharing a dial-up Internet connection, select the Establish a dial-up connection whenever a computer on my network attempts to access the Internet check box if you want to permit your computer to automatically connect to the Internet.
  10. Click OK. You receive the following message: When Internet Connection Sharing is enabled, your LAN adapter will be set to use IP
address 192.168.0.1. Your computer may lose connectivity with other computers on
your network. If these other computers have static IP addresses, it is a good idea to set them
to obtain their IP addresses automatically. Are you sure you want to enable Internet
    Connection Sharing?
  11. Click Yes.
The connection to the Internet is shared to other computers on the local area network (LAN). The network adapter that is connected to the LAN is configured with a static IP address of 192.168.0.1 and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0

let me know if it helps.

best regards,

Please help

You may try Mac Cloning if you have Cable Internet connection. If you have DSL Internet connection, then set the router to PPPoE or change its LAN IP or local IP address to a different one; 192.168.2.1, to avoid IP address conflict with the DSL modem.

D-link di514

Hi,

Try the DSL modem directly connected to the PC.No D-Link Router(powered off and disconnected). Verify that the PCcould surf/browse/connect to the Internet. Go to Start, Control Panel,Network Connections, right click Local Area Connection, Properties, scroll down to/highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Properties button.Get the IP Add, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS assigned to the PC(write this down. This will be your WAN/Internet IP settings). Then Disable DHCP of your modem if it has one. OK, close, save or whatever is applicable.

Disconnect the DSL modem from the PC. Connect D-Link Router to PC (wired/LAN) without the modem connected to the router.Go again to Start, Control Panel, Network Connections, right clickLocal Area Connection, Properties, scroll down to/highlight InternetProtocol(TCP/IP), Properties button. Tick "Use the following IPaddress". Enter this IP Add 192.168.0.10, Subnet Mask255.255.255.0,Default Gateway 192.168.0.1 and the DNS from what youhave written down earlier). This will be your LAN IP settings. OK,close, save or whatever is applicable.

Open a browser and log into the D-Link router (192.168.0.1, using "admin" as a username and no password). Do not run Wireless Network Setup Wizard. In WAN/Internet/Modem setting of router enable/check Static IP Add.Usethe IP numbers previously assigned to PC that you have written down asthe router's WAN/Internet/Modem IP settings. OK, close, save orwhatever is applicable. Reboot router. Connect DSL modem to router.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Public Address will not view the camera

This is a common mistake.. ya CANNOT "See" a camera or such, as this, on the "Public" side of things, 'cause ya not... So, UNLESS you go to ANOTHER LOCATION and try, well OK.... & THEN you should be able to View ya camera, if all is well... OR get a 3rd party to check from their PC from their location... The fact ya can see it on ya local network should be encouraging.
