Humax freesat box not responding to hand control

The batteries need changing. Then power down the box, wait 10 minutes and power back up.

hello, I'm Jem, does it have enough clear space around it for heat dispersion? Please check around all its vented areas for possible clogging/suffocation to be sure it's internal cooling fan can cool it appropriately, also check with your hand carefully how hot the unit is..

Press the STB button in order to control the Humax.

You'll need to contact Humax directly.

Find the address and mail it back but it must be in original box

Try removing battery to try to reset it.

If this is brand new call the company support number ASAP. It could be something simple you're doing wrong or it could be a defective remote that needs to be replaced under warranty but you MUST call ASAP to be sure to get the problem in the records before the unit is out of warranty.

Go into Factory reset, but before check if your system download is up to date, ( in menu )

No you cannot record on to your pvr in HD, and yes you will have to wait for an HD-pvr unit. This is because of the HDCP agreements.
