Cannot unlock our JVC tv, we don't hve a tv remote only the dstv remote. Plse help

Do you mean 'unlock" or just turn it on? There should be a series of buttons on the TV itself that allow you to turn on, choose input, volume, etc. Your JVC tv manual should explain the buttons. You may also want to buy a "universal" remote control and program it to the TV if you have lost the original remote.

I've never really heard of the audio being locked in these units.. I do know there is a back-door code to unlock the channels, just press 8-8-8-8 for that...
It is possible that the auio amp is out, in this unit it's a TB1253an and a simple repair for a shop...

Unless you get tv out of timer mode you will not be able to do anything. Try unplugging it for a few hours to see if the memory circuits lose the setting and maybe you can restore normal operation.
