How do i find unknown sources on samsung series 5 40inch smart tv

Unfortunately, most TVs only support closed captions on the RF (OTA or analog cable without a set-top box) input. For other sources, the captions are enabled at the source device or app.

The Samsung Series 8 UA65TU8000KXXS does support some subtitled files from the USB drive. However, the support is limited to select subtitle and video formats. What is the format for these videos? See page 134 of the E-manual for details; the menu section on the subtitles is shown starting on page 222.

(VLC can support a number of caption file types. See https://www.rev.com/blog/resources/how-to-add-captions-and-subtitles-to-vlc-media-player-videos-and-movies . There is also a plugin that lets the program find subtitle files automatically. One or both of these is probably why the video captions work on VLC for Android.)

there is an app which I don't remember on the top of my head but you could smart cast from the. I do it all the time my phone is dead but I would tell you if I remembered it from the top of my head

Simply purchase a "headphone splitter"... it splits your single audio source to two headphone jacks.

you should be able to change this in the tv settings in the smart part of the tv to allow downloads of apps from unknown sources.There will be a tick box somewhere in the settings of apps

Either go to the menu and activate the inputs or use the manual switches on the side and rear. If that doesn't work go to menu and reset.

Sounds like your HDMI connector. Press and wiggle the connections on the set and the converter box.

Considering the price of a TV I'd say not.

Did a google search and found this site using BN95-00604A: http://www.encompassparts.com/item/9186449/SAMSUNG/BN95-00604A/PRODUCT_LCD-AMLCD where they list the part at 565.00 including a 102 core charge which I presume would be returned to you once the core is received. It is unknown if this source is the only source, that this source would actually sell the part to anyone other than authorized service providers, it also doesn't address shipping costs or taxes and damages that may occur in transit. Are you talking about digital, analogue or satalitte channels? Have you ran the "menu/channel/ariel or auto tune" procedure If yes and channels were found; have you tried "source input" button o your remote? Have you tried "menu/support self diagnosis or contact samsung? If all else fails contact samsung support - who I've found to be extremely helpful. Good luck
