I am about 3oo km from Brisbane, where do I get a a nut to hold my discs on

Any nut with the proper threads will hold the disk on. Any hardware store will what you need, just take the grinder with you and try a few.

I need help to replace my brushes on a makita 9553NB 4 inch angle grinder the old model i used to have had easy access.. coin sized slots on the handle that you simply uncsrew to reveal the brushes. my...

first unplug the tool, next on the backside you will notice a screw, remove it and slide the cover back to expose the backside of the motor. gently move the springs that hold the brushes tight to the side and remove the brushes and replace. Make sure to replace the springs and then slide the cover back into place and replace the screw and that should take care of your problem.

New 4" angle grinder does not come with sanding disc pad

You need the 4" rubber pad, Makita Part #743009-6. It can be found on websites like www.ereplacementparts.com.

I got a Makita4

Your missing the flat wrench that goes under the blade and holds the shaft from turning. I can't find anywhere to buy just the wrench. If you can find an old 14mm wrench and grind it down on both sides so that it's only about 1/8 of an inch thick it should work.

4 inch grinder with brushes that need to be cleaned. How can I check the brushes inside the grinder and how to repair the brushes myself

brushes ant be repaired. They have to be replaced. unless dirty you can clean them if they are not making contact witht the armature. There should be two round circles near the hand grip with like a coin slot on them. Just srew these of with a screwdriver.
