The primary heatpump and the backup heat fuel furnace. A TAYPLUS103a switching box controls switching between those 2 devices. This box provides 6 wires to my thermostat: O/B, G, R, C, W2 and Y1 plus a jumper between Y1 and W1
SOURCE: Thermostat Wiring: W2? E? Where to connect?
You have a heat pump. You need a thermostat for "Heat pump with Electric back-up heat". Make sure the 'stat has either an "aux" (auxilliary heat) or an "E"(Emergency heat) terminal. The wiring instructions will be provided with the thermostat.

Thanks for your Question,
B- is your common leg,
RH- is your hot to heating
RC1- you will not need
RC- you can use if you remove the jumper for cooling
Y1- you will not need
G- is your fan
O is not needed, wires should be hooked in as follows,
RH- red wire, heating
RC- Yellow wire, Cooling
G- Green wire, Fan
B- Blue wire, for common leg, this one might be a different color so make sure at the furnace which T-Stat wire is connected to Common, you should check all the wiring at the furnace to make sure this pattern of wiring is followed, it should be standard practice to hook them up this way, but not all installers do it, thanks again, please rate this,

Thermostat wire color codes
explained.
Please note. Not all installers use the proper color codes when they
install or replace equipment. It may be necessary go go to the furnace or
outdoor unit to verify what wires are for what purpose. Also be sure there are
no splices in the wire that could change the wire colors between components.
Note: If only furnace has a
transformer and cooling equipment does not jumper Rc and Rh.
Note: W2 is most often used
for heat pumps to control what is called emegency heat or Auxillary heat, and
most often will use the white wire.
SOURCE: Heat PumP: Rheem Two Stage Heat, One Stage Cool Thermostat Replac
R = R with jumper to RC hot side of transformer
B = Reversing valve
Y = Compressor relay
G =Blower
C = common on transformer (X on old t'stat)
W2 = Auxillary heat
E = Emergency heat
SOURCE: New thermostat not cooling. Blowing heat instead.
Hello You have only 5 wires? multi stage if so ,is run by something else.Check that RH/RC is jumped out on new stat.Also check that O is not on the B terminal.If there is an A/B select switch set it to O.Emergency heat button dont matter as there is no wire to run it with only 5 wires.
