this is Forced cold power restart,
NOW is this a cure to the problem?> with power pack put back in? plugged end to end, AC wall to PC.
OK no is not:
remove AC power pack. unplug it)
next is the more hard, remove PC covers 10 screws. page 34
and unplug the battery connector.
as seen on page 36 of your service manual below.
then plug in the AC Power pack now.
does the PC run ok with no 4 year old battery inside?
end no battery test, what was the results now?
moving the battery inside any PC does not make it last longer, only harder to remove and service.

you asked I told.
SOURCE: Lenovo Ideapad Y510 c drive full but d drive shows as empty
The cursor jump is probably because your arm or part of your hand is getting close to the touchpad.
I have the same problem.
You can toggle touchpad support by holding down the 'Fn' key and hitting 'F8'. (Fn+F8)
Don't forget to turn it back on when you want to move the mouse.
In regards to "local disk c:" being full. It sounds like your drive is partitioned into two logical drives.
You can use two methods in gaining space on C:.
The first option would be to move some of your documents from the C: partition to D:. (If you continue to save all of your files to C:, it will become full again.)
The second would be to re-size your C: partition using a tool such as "Partition Magic" in order to allocate some of the unused space on D: to C:. (This may take some time to complete. Make sure you are connected to AC power, you do not want your computer to go to standby or hibernate while changing partition sizes.)
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: my lenovo Y510 ideapad turns on but the screen
The next tim eit is turned on, try shiniing a bright flashlight directly on the screen.
If you can see anything there then the backlight has burned out on the screen, and will need to be replaced.
If you cant see anything, try hooking up an external monitor to the laptop, if you have a desktop the monitor for it will work for the test..
If the external monitor you hook up will work, then you will have to replace the screen..
( or at a minimum the inverter board, or check that the cables are tight that go to the screen)
SOURCE: IdeaPad S10e Netbook: CANT OPEN LENOVO ONE KEY RECOVERY UPON START...
Make sure you did it correctly. Computer should be OFF when doing the one key recovery. Turn off the computer then press the small button right beside the power button. Your computer should automatically turned on and you will go straight to one key recovery software. If this will not happen, then the one key recovery is destroyed. We need to re-image your Harddrive to have that one key recovery software back to you computer. You may call Lenovo technical support department for further assistance on how you are going to send your laptop to our depot department.
