That is correct. This unit doesn't have a removable brew unit.

SOURCE: Saeco Vienna leaking

We had this problem and it was overflow from a clog -- check the hole where excess water drains into the drip tray to see if it is full of grounds. Cleaned it out with a twistie tie and flushed w/ water. That stopped the water on our counter!

SOURCE: Saeco Vienna gear jammed

This has happened to me. If the problem is the brew group gear is in the wrong position, you can manipulate the brew group until it matches up with the drive gear in the machine. You'll know it matches if you can insert the brew group back in the machine full until it clicks.

SOURCE: how do I descale my Saeco Vienna Deluxe?

Purchase the Saeco descaler. Mix solution accordingly. Pour into water tank. Run a cappucino cup full of water through the wand. Wait about 20 minute and repeat. Do this until all the water is gone in the tank. (Don't run all the water at once!). Rinse water tank well. FIll with clean water and run through the wand. I do this twice just to be sure I have gotten all the chemical out.

SOURCE: We have had a saeco vienna deluxe for @ 4 years.

Hi
I have seen some of these machines with over 40,000 coffees in the display, but they do need a little care. One is the brew group. Cleaning is good but not as often as a lot of people do. I clean and lube mine about every 3,000 coffees (I have a display) Lubrication is necessary but only in 3 places. Do not lube the tracks, that just attracts coffee grounds and that can damage the brew drive when they pack into the tracks at the top by the brew head. It prevents the brew unit from cycling all the way through, and it busts the drive gears, and I think that is what is wrong with your machine. It can be fixed. Places to lube with food grade not food based lubricant.
Put some lube on a Q tip and lube.

  1. The big Orange O-ring on the brew head
  2. The receiver on the back side of the brew unit. Lube inside top to bottom. (it looks like the end of a smoking pipe)
  3. On the bottom of the brew unit there is a rod in the center with a wish bone going through the end. Lube the rod towards the center of the brew unit all the way around.
You must make sure that the brew unit is ready to reinsert into the machine. To return the brew group to the centered position, you first need to drop the funnel. To do this, look on the opposite side of the brew group from the handle. At the top you will see an object that looks like a sharks fin. If you follow this piece down you will see 2 horizontal bars on the brew group body. Push your finger between these 2 bars and the funnel will drop. Now you can push the puck slide on the left side down and to the center. If you look down through the funnel you should see a piston. This should be centered in the funnel. If not, locate the slide on the left side of the brew unit,( it should be hanging down, a flat rectangular piece attached to the cylinder) and push the slide to the right until it does. Push the press button and you are now ready to reinsert the brew group in to the machine. First you must close the door with the drip tray and dreg drawer inserted and turn on the machine without having the brew group in. You will hear the motor turn on and when it stops completely, open the door and remove the tray, and dreg drawer, now replace the tray and insert the brew group. If it still won’t go in check the cog in the back of the machine. There are 2 wide teeth that should be at the 10:00 and 12:00 position. If they are at a different position you have a broken drive gear.

SOURCE: I just received a used Saeco Vienna

HI
You must have 2 knobs in the bean hopper, or the grinds are more like French Press (very large grinds) If yoou just have 2 knobs turn the small one towards the minus (-) a little, and see idf that helps. If you hqve very large grinds you grinder has seperated and needs to be replaced.

My brew unit has dropped a wire and the dreg drawer cannot be withdrawn on Saeco Vienna Plus

The machine is in the middle of a cycle, and needs to be reset. Put all of the parts back in and turn on the machine. See if the machine moves back into the normal position.

if it does not then you need to service the unit.

Saeco Vienna superautomatica won't dump grounds puck into dump box

This needs looking at by a Saeco repair shop - the brew unit travels in a distinct 'pathway' from being empty, to filled, to coffee being tamped, then to being emptied. Yours is obviously not working as intended.
It may be the brew unit needs lubricating ( NOT OIL) or it may be the gear system that drives the brew units movements that needs attention.
Cheers
Mike.

I own a saeco Vienna 'limited edition'. When making coffee, the cycle stops when the water pump starts. Coffee light blinks and the red light turns on. It started when i tried to use the steam...

Hi. Sounds like a blocked or jammed brew unit. Remove brew unit and clean. To properly do this, you need to disassemble the brew unit. Canbe quite hard to do. The brew units are usually held together with plastic tabs, and may have to remove some screws to allow these tabs to release units assembly. Dazza REPAIRER

My saeco vienna water is leaking out from somewhere underneath

If it is coffee colored water, then remove the brew unit and look under the white plastic valve in the machine, you will notice a small chamber, clean chamber of coffee grounds and make sure the little discharge to the draintray is also clear. Insert brew unit and check machine.
