SOURCE: Panasonic Model NN T964SF inverter

If the digital programmer circuit / controller does not get a feedback signal from the inverter for a period of 3 seconds, the controller will stop the cook cycle.

In most cases, this is a problem with the inverter or a bad magnetron.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

I would recommend that you contact your nearest Panasonic-authorized servicer.

SOURCE: Ground Fault circuit Breaker trips each time a load is applied

The most likely causes in their order of probability are: 1) water somewhere in the circuit causing the hot wire to ground; 2) a legitimate trip caused by a defect in a device plugged into the circuit; and 3) a defective GFCI breaker. In the first case, wait until it has been dry for about a week and see if it trips. In the second case, make sure there is nothing plugged into the circuit and try resetting. In the third case go ahead and put the regular breaker in, then put a GFCI outlet into the first box downstream from the breaker. If installed according to the directions, that outlet should protect all of the outlets downstream.

SOURCE: Xantrex Freedom 458 Combi inverter/charger 2000 watt

OK my 2000 Discovery does the same thing. Try and hit the inverter charger with your fist 3-4 times, then listen and see if the charger fan starts up. I will be bringing my inverter to Portland this week to have the tech look at it. The other thing is it could be the transfer switch. Will let you know.

Xantrex inverter/ charger smells like burning electrical

I would call or e-mail the manufacturer of the inverter. The dealer or dealers may know the issue but likely the manufacturer will be more help.
Some devices like an inverter will have a smell in the beginning, power supplies are like that. You said that the inverter didn't get hot but smell indicates something is hot.

Xantrex power inverter 1750

The 14 AWG Positive wire should be connected to one side of a 30 A relay (typical fog lamp relay available at most automotive stores). The relay's other 30 A contact should be connected to the battery positive post via a 10 AWG (up to 6 ft/2 m)

Is there a bench test for the Xantrex freedom 458 inverter/charger?

My experience has been thay there is no real "bench test" available to the general public. You can do some testing if you are familiar with how to read the color codes on resistors, and know how to test relays. There are two fuses inside, so you can check their continuity. Before going to this trouble though, get on line and download the Xantrex trouble shooting guide, bulletin No. 512-0084001-01 rev1. If that is ok, it'll be a trip to the dealer, where you'll learn that it costs about $400 to replace the board. I'm on my second one, in two years, so they aren't a long life article I'm afraid.Hope this is helpful for you.

If you don't have enough current to run the inverter, even at 14.1 v, it will go into protection. Make sure the wiring is heavy enough to provide the current needed to run the inverter. There should be a label on the fan saying what vosges it needs to run. Try powering up the fan outside the inverter.

Fues blown in xpower inverter 1750 plus

These fuse are often intend to protect voltage inversion. (reverse voltage)
So, if the eight fuse are blown, then maybe the voltage red and black wire were not connected to the correct polarity.

then again, even if these fuse are intend to be use as reverse protection, it may occure that transformer short out, transistor short out and many other short circuit inside the inverter as occure.

So replacing all eight fuse might not restore the unit function, they may even blow again.
Also, reversing polarity that cause the fuse to blow might have damage the transistor stage.

I am still, investigating few other problem with those unit.
I don't have all answer yet.
