Hello i have a Hisense en33926a tv and randomly it just wouldn't turn on. Any time that I press the power button it blinks 10 times. is there anything i can do besides unplugging it for 60 seconds and plugging it back in? check power settings for program
Ok so this one is complicated In my experience with this type of issue if you remove the back of the tv and look for a swollen capacitor as u can see on this pic of what I am speaking of. I had a 60 inch flat screen did the same thing. I opened it up found the one that was swollen and on mine there was only one I removed it desolidered it I went to Apache reclamation it’s a store here in Phoenix that is like a thrift store for machine parts and things like that. I m sure you could probably order one from eBay. Anyway we found the one we need and it was a little larger in size but was the same voltage and soldiered it on to the board and the tv now works. If you think you could take that on go for it. You won’t make it any worse right?

I had the same problem. Red LED blinking 4 times. This error means that one of the fans is NOT spinning! To check.... unplug the tv.... turn the TV around to a well lighted area so that you can see the fans in the back... plug the TV in and turn it on. Watch for the fans in the back... and see if they are spinning. If not... that is the reason why the TV will not turn on! In my case, the fan next to the lamp was stuck for some reason. I removed the the cover of the TV from the back... and cleaned the fan, made sure all connectors to it were properly connected... and viola! The TV is perfect again! Enjoy!

The 3 blinks is a error code for the convergence circuit. You can get the convergence repair kit for your model at the following link which contains both Convergence ICs and all six feed resistors and they include step by step instructions with pictures that show how to do the repair yourself. It's a power supply related problem.
The flashing 8 times is a trouble code. A Service Manual for your TV model will have the info on the codes. It could be a bad capacitor or a transformer on the power supply board.If you have some electronic experience, you can find a Service Manual for your TV over the internet. Cost about under $20.

Well, Everything said on this site is true. I recently had a breakdown on the same type of TV and through this site and the comments left, I was able to repair my tv for less than $50. (Extra cost for upgrading my soldering iron that wasn't getting hot enough) It was amazing. The feeling when the tv powered up and stayed on. Credit goes to Howard and Chris Palmer for their comments. It is possible. You just have to commit and do it. Its not as hard as you might think. Thanks guys.

Press the LOCK button to lock or unlock the TV.
When the TV is locked, the screen will turn to blue background, and nothing can be viewed unless you press
LOCK again to unlock it.
