Electric door release stopped working

My Asko w600 frontloader has an electric door release, which has just stopped working, with wet clothes inside. Any ideas?

It was my bad. The manual release didn't go because there was some water in the bottom. The hose was blocked and it couldn't drain. Doh.

Dryer stops when clothes still wet

Check and make sure that the hose leading out of the dryer is clean and clear. Clogs will make the dryer not work to its full potential. Also make sure that the heating element is not going out on the dryer.

Asko w600 front load washer did not spin water out of clothes. I emptied the drain pump and now it fills with water but doesnt wash the clothes. The water drains out but nothing else. Help

Check to see if your model has a "out of balance" micro switch.
If it's tripped from you moving the unit around you may have to reset it manually. It will be mounted somewhere close to the outer perimeter of the tub. Can't say exactly where. Could be high or low.

I have an asko w600 front load washer, seems to wash ok, but will not go into spin cycle, drain pump operates - slowly, but does not start spin cycle. saw somewhere on net that pump may be faulty

Hello Greg, welcome to FixYa.
To address your post of the washer not spinning and your curiosity of a faulty pump...the pump may simply be obstructed preventing a proper drain, thus a compromised spin, they are directly related. These frontloaders will not spin until they drain sufficiently. (though a faulty drain pump is possible, it woud be the exception, not the rule).
There is typically a drain filter in the pump as you may or may not know, based on your description it may be clogged. You'll need to access it, clean it out via draining it through the pump "emergency drain hose" before you can in the end open the door (though usually once drained to a safe level it will open under normal procedures) however there should be a door lock release on Asko built machines...including the W600 series.
This is the procedure for machines of the past 10yrs. or so...(this is only an example, it may not be exact but essentially the same as yours)

Hopefully this will help. Let me know if anything is unclear or If I can assist you going forward. Thank you for choosing FixYa and good luck going forward.

Macmarkus :)

I have an Asko W600 front load washer that does not spin water out of clothes. It fills, washes, empties but does not spin- skips this part.

Hi

First make sure that nothing is blocking the drain pump assembly located inside the bottom of the unit, after this test the door lock-switch assembly. If the door lock-switch is also fine then the control board should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

My Asko dryer shut off and my clothes are still wet. It won't start and the light on the pannel will not come on. I know I probably have lint in the system that escaped the lint trap or maybe something...

YOUR DRYER Has a fuse in it look for it probably somewhere close to where the main power comes in at. if it's good check the heat relay contactor assembly. www.repairclinic.com has the model you have and it may even be as simple as the door switch

The spin cycle doesn't seemt o be working

This could be due to several reasons: your filter could be blocked, the drain behind your machine could be clogged, needs to be snaked; your pump could be clogged. You have to clean out these things........
