SOURCE: kitchenaid dishwasher just quit mid cycle?

Check your thermal fuse. The fuse is located inside the control panel on or near the main control board. It will be a bullet shaped component mounted with a white plastic clip with two wires leading from it. The fuse should read a short if good. Now...keep in mind, if the fuse blew it is usually for a reason. Replacing it may or may not correct your problem. In some model dishwashers there was a thermal fuse kit that was required to be installed which involved cutting the wires and using a wire splice to connect the new fuse. It seems that there was a design flaw where the gauge wire used in manufacturing would cause the thermal fuse to blow prematurely due the wire overheating. I can't remember if this applies to KitchenAid, but I believe it does. You may inquire about this at your local parts store. I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: Won't read disks

If the unit is more than a couple of years old the lens on the laser should be cleaned if this doesn't make any difference you will need to replace the laser, if you remove the cover from the unit and observe whether the cd spins when it loads this will tell you that the unit is attempting to read the disc and usually cleaning will solve the problem, be careful when handling the laser as static from you can damage it

SOURCE: Panasonic DVD Recorder - Digital tuner stopped working

Is your recorder hooked up to the new convert box for digital antenna reception?
I am currently researching the convert boxes for my dvd recorder. I found that some dvd recorders already have digital converter boxes already installed. This might be the case for you.

SOURCE: washer control is locked

The following link explains how to correct a Control Lock problem for your washer:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r2469429-kenmore_elite_amp_whirlpool_duet

I know this link is for Kenmore Elite and Whirlpool Duet. The newer model Maytags are manufactured by Whirlpool (which also makes the Kenmore Elite) so these instructions should apply. Keep in mind control panel options between models may differ slightly, but the locking feature instructions should be printed on the front panel. If you are not sure, there should be a tech sheet inside the washer behind the lower kick panel under the door. If not directly behind the panel, the sheet should be affixed to one of the interior cabinet walls.

If these preliminary measures do not correct the problem, you may have a more serious problem. If you have questions, or require additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

NOTE: The Control Lock feature is a built in safety feature that allows you to lock the front panel to keep small children from manipulating the controls.

Electrical pop on computer speakers when compressor cycles off.

This is normal, a spark from the compressor commutator opening when the compressor shuts off, causes a magnetic and radio wave and this wave can travel some distance and be picked up by other things. If you are able to move the wires farther away, that is the simple method to correct this. If not then you are looking at other methods of shielding the speakers and wires from picking it up

Picks record ,clicks twice ,returns record without playing

Mechanism for moving arm over and onto record is fubar. Probably stuck and the clicks you hear are the motor fighting a losing battle and returning arm to rest mount.

Remove stylus and play with arm and simulate turn on cycle to see how it works and where the jam is- fix and then put stylus back in - those little suckers are expensive.

Hi i have a hoover washing machine hnf 6127 it functions perfectly but wont spin the drum goes round on the wash cycles but will not pick up speed on the spin i have checked the filter is not blocked

If it is not picking up speed on the spin cycle then it is the motor or the belt. check the belt first for proper tension and make sure the motor has the proper output. I think something is slipping and not transferring torque to the tub.

VDO x2dw cycle computer, sensor 2 doesn't work

Is the sensor properly spaced from the magnet on the spoke? Will the sensor pick up slow revolutions but not fast ones. Do you know that some of the sensors have two batteries in them, one on the top and one on the bottom, and both need to be changed at the same time?

The ignition key will not turn in my 1999 Ford Ranger. Drove to work, shut the truck off, everything fine. Went to leave later and key first of all wouldn't go in all the way. Finally it went in but will...

To remove the cylinder from the column. First disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery. Now put the key in the ignition. Look under the plastic covering on the column and you will see a small hole. With something small, pointed and strong, like an ice pick, insert the pick into the hole and push the button on the lock cylinder in hard while pulling the cylinder with the key in it out of the column. To install the new lock cylinder make sure the key is in it and just line up the groove on the cylinder with the groove in the column and push it in. It will lock in place. try to cycle the new cylinder if all is good then the old tumblers were frozen or broken. Now if it has the same problem then the ignition switch at the lower end of the column is broken and will need replaced. If so just tell me and I can guide you thru that also.

Early tone arm pickup

On some record players there is an adjusting screw at the back of the tone arm that adjusts the tone arm drop in location but I don't think it will adjust the pick up point. That is controled by a steel rod under the record player deck that moves over and pushes a little trip lever near the center of the platter so that a gear is engauged and the end of record cycle is started. I'm not sure but you may be able to find an adjustment under the deck that is near the rotation point of the tone arm that will adjust that rod so that it will pickup later. Hope this helps some.
