Restart your mac. As it's restarting/booting up, hold down the command, option, R and P keys simultaneously. As it's booting up and you're holding these keys, you should hear the startup chime, continue to hold the keys down, it will cycle and you'll hear the startup chimes again. Let it go thru this cycle 7 (seven) times before you let up on those keys. Once it's cycled 7 times, let it boot up normally.
If that doesn't work, then reinstall the original system software that came with the Macbook. You may have to reformat the hard disk and do a clean install.

I need to restore my macbook pro with os sierra but have no disk to do so, I AM A LITTLE EMBRASSED TO TELL U WHAT I DID NEXT i did the command r and have deleted the whole ****** system and no cd

Go to closest Apple Retailer fixer. A tech maybe able to flash recover your systems data. Being backed up will help. This may not be as painful as it looks. Make the call.

Reboot and tap f8 to see if a system recovery command pops up. Follow the screen instructions.

Your call service for the Mac should also b able to talk you through the process. Then remotely have troubleshooting accomplished while you watch and converse on the telephone.

Factory reset button on macbook pro

There is no 'Factory Reset' button as such. If you are running OS 10.7 to 10.10, then you need to start up from the 'recovery' partition (CMD+R) on startup. You will then be able to erase the hard drive using 'Disk Utility' and then re-install the OS.

How to factory restore my macbook without disk?

If you held the 'option' key during power up and then selected the recovery icon, you will have come up to the utilities screen. From that screen you can choose 'Reinstall OS X', but you need to be connected to the internet to do this.
If you connect via WiFi, then in the top right corner there should be a WiFi symbol, clicking on it will allow you to connect to a WiFi network.

I cant not login in too my users i forgot my password

Thank you for contacting Fixya Support, I am glad to assist.

If you are unable to gain access via the password to login to your Mac OS X desktop, you are going to reset your password.

What you will need to do is use the Mac OS X restore (Disk 1) or the Mac OS X installation disk which came with your Macbook Pro.

Now perform this process:

* Insert your install disc
* Reboot your Macbook Pro

* Press the C key on your keyboard and hold until you see the white screen, grey apple, and eventually the spinning gear.

* Release the C key when you see the spinning gear

* When you reach the Mac OS X install environment, click past the language screen.

* From the Installer Menu bar select "Utilities" and then "Reset Password".

* Within the Reset Password utility, select the User Account you need access to.

* Reset the password.

* Quit the Reset Password utility when you have reset and confirmed the new password

* Quit the Installer and restart your Mac..

* At the log in window, enter your username and newly reset password. You should now be able to successfully log in. * I hope this helps.

My MacBook Pro goes to the grey screen with the

Most likely, you are looking at a corrupt installation of the OS, or a failing hard drive... most likely the latter, unfortunately. Laptop hard drives only seem to last a couple years now, 3-4 if you're really lucky. I would suggest popping in the System Restore Disc (that came with the computer originally) or the OS install disc (in case it has a new version installed than it came with originally) and go to Tools->Disk Utility, and tell it to "repair permissions" and "repair disk", and see if that resolves it. If it happens to, I suggest backing up your data ASAP just in case. More info can be found here on using Disk Utility.

Trouble shooting new os 10.4 tiger installation on mac pro

You sure you got the original gray label install discs for this computer? Sometimes people stick gray discs in with the computers and they are not specific for that model.  The Macbook Pro ships with Tiger 10.4.6
Borrow a black label Tiger retail disc from someone and install your OS that way.
